Clients - A Quick Question… πŸ€”
We have so many things we can talk about here! We’ll look into the different aspects of our businesses in small chunks, leading to some quick actionable steps we can take to improve things. Social media & marketing are common issues to have on our minds. I’d love to start by asking a quick question- Where do you normally get your clients from. Are you getting clients from - - Walk-ins - Organic posts - Paid ads - Referrals? Then I’d love to share how one social media post brings me all of my new clients!

As of recently I'd say walk-ins and then referrals from said walk-ins. We're lucky to have opened our shop in a township that until recently wouldn't grant business permits for tattoo shops, so the community had been hungry for it for a long time now. I haven't been able to budget for paid advertising for a while now but I definitely got a lot of engagement when I did, the problem was a lot of that engagement wasn't local so it didn't lead to many more bookings. I do want to invest in it more to at least grow my audience, but I'm not counting on it for increasing bookings as much.

Welcome to the community everyone! So stoked to have you guys here!!! I really appreciate you guys jumping in early, as I get this going. I'm going to post some videos soon, with an intro to Skool platform & my vision for this community. For now, I'd encourage you to make a quick intro post, so we can get to know each other better. Then feel free to ask questions, share projects you're working on, or just chat in the posts & comments. We're building this from the ground up! πŸš€ @Mak Gallegos @Salome Robichaud @Candice Perry @Silvia Gerina @Parker Brann

Hi everybody, my name is Silvia, I am currently located in Leipzig, Germany and work in my own private studio. I specialize in color and black and gray realism pieces. My most preferred projects are animal tattoos, portraits and the human figure as well as nature scene tattoos! Ever since 2020 I’ve gone obsessed with trying to better my art skills in general - I take courses, classes, workshops and seminars all the time. Currently I am going through a sketching course (focused on perspective and gesture), after that I have a Perspective course lined up and want to take an online seminar from favorite tattoo artist - Deanna James - she specializes in baroque style tattoos, which I LOVE, as I also love baroque art immensely! I mainly struggle with posting on social media because I dislike editing videos πŸ˜‚ I do like filming them tho! However I do find it somewhat hard to fill myself working when I don’t have anyone to help with that. Oh well, something is better than nothing! Here’s a few works from last year and my Instagram handle is @lcf.tattoos ( you know, like Lucifer tattoos 😁) Hope to learn lots from everybody here πŸ₯° If anyone is taking any courses, classes, etc, I’d loooove to know what! Let me know πŸ–€

Hey guys! My name is Parker, I'm a tattoo artist based out of Aldergrove, British Columbia, Canada 🍁 I started my tattoo journey back in 2021 as a gormless apprentice while also working full-time as a journeyman electrician. Over the years I've juggled between the two careers to keep the pesky bills at bay but this year I will be focusing more exclusively on tattooing where I hope to eventually be in a place where juggling won't be necessary. Most of my career has been at walk-in shops where my mentors trained me to be able to tackle whatever walked through the door. I love tattooing everything from black and grey trad to colour realism, but I feel like my happy place is in more of an illustrative realm. I'm currently working on portraiture to open myself up to even more fun projects in the near future. I'd say my weakest link would be marketing myself. Despite being trained in the performing arts, when I sit in front of a camera to talk about myself or what I'm working on I become an absolute potato πŸ₯” I try my best to keep on top of my social media game but I haven't quite found my own style of marketing that feels less follow-the-trend and more uniquely me. Here's some pictures of my work, if you'd like to see the full gallery, warts and all, you can find me at @visceral_viewpoints on Instagram
