aww sweet, thank you @Sebastian Jautschus ! I will listen through all the new releases today. I wasn't signed into the community the last weeks bc I did a fultime internship at a psychology clinic but I'm back to normal life now. I also just released another song today, which I like even more than the last 2 releases. https://open.spotify.com/track/3UFkRxCEjYza2Mp1Nask52?si=6b3446874c9545d5 enjoyy :)
February 2026 releases
Hello everyone, drop your February releases down below if you want, I wanna hear them :) https://open.spotify.com/track/4K9WxOYPQPpcbl5Djs6Z1H?si=4730b659f51240f7 This is 'lingering memories' - a bit of a different vibe than usually I'm curious what you think about it. I'm not sure yet what I think about the track myself ^^ Hope everyone's doing well & looking forward to some hangout soon! Also sorry for being a bit inactive I'm in exam season right now, but it's only 6 more days :) Simon

glad you like it Jacopo :) I know what you mean with bluesy.. I was tought some blues when I started guitar and sometimes it shines through I guess. I'm not sure how good it fits into my sound that's why I keep it a rare thing but this time it felt right. regarding that sound: @Sebastian Jautschus made a tutorial on how he does it (it's called 3x tremolo stacking or something like that) I'd say my progress is similar. I put on a lot of distortion (decapitator or devil lock by soundtoys) + tremolator with close to 100% + my standard guitar tone. that i play around and layer 2-3 different "melodies" that blend into something dreamy I wouldn't even call a melody cause you can't really tell what's going on. final step is putting pan man by soundtoys on top of it and making it move around in the stereo field.

@Sebastian Jautschus I love your version of the djo song :))
first (instrumental) song
Lunar Sea Coastline is the first step of a new instrumental project built around electric guitar, atmosphere and cinematic restraint. The track represents the discovery of a new, imaginary habitat: a lunar sea, an unseen coastline. The song is very simple, but for me it was important to start from this track, for emotional reasons. January relseases
Hi everyone, happy new year :) I thought I'd start a January release thread as I've seen some juicy guitarwaver releases this month. I had to drop off my bi-weekly schedule because university and work were throwing me off for a moment but I'm finally back. This song marks a milestone for me bc it's the first time I wrote a song in a time-signature completely new to me and managed to finish it to Spotify without months of overthinking. Anyone can guess what time-signature it is? :) https://open.spotify.com/track/6V3MgE6vMi9fITXBm6Hpz2?si=f858c0cc85c74876 It's also the first song where I live-streamed part of the songwriting on TikTok and it was a surprisingly pleasant experience I recommend trying out if you're curious. It felt like writing with a band a little bit because finally I was not sitting alone on my computer but had some social surrounding at least virtually. Might do that more often in the future. Make sure to drop your releases below so @Sebastian Jautschus can add them to his guitarwave playlist (and I started one as well ;) ) Hope everyone's good and looking forward to more active times in this beautiful community!

Newbie
Hi everyone! I am a 42-year-old learning guitar for the first time (started 2 weeks ago) and have recently come across Sebastian's music (youtube/tiktok/spotify), which has inspired me to become an instrumental guitar player. I just wanted to introduce myself and say hi! I live in Canberra, Australia, married with 3 kids and 2 doggies. I work full-time, have my own Photography business and love to learn! I just finished my Uni degree last year and have been looking for the next thing to learn - I have always wanted to learn guitar, and now I'm loving it!! It's been so nice reading all your posts, and I am so glad to be part of this wonderful community. Thank you for having me! I am learning on my second-hand guitars: a Yamaha acoustic (FG800) and a Yamaha Pacifica electric. I have a BOSS Katana 50 amp, which I am trying to tune for this style, getting there, but not quite dialled in. I am liking the amp that Sebastian has been using: the Yamaha THR30IIWL - the wireless and portability aspect is really selling it to me. Anyways, that is me. Hope you are all well and will speak to you soon. Scott Insta: @scotthhr
