Warning on Publishing a Second Edition
I'm recreating some of my books with AI art. And I just published a second edition of a book I published in 2021. Never Snitch on a Witch. The reason, I went for a second edition was to see if AI art would make a stronger impact. My one mistake though was that I put down that it was previously published in 2021 with the hopes that I would retain the 15 reviews I already had. Well the reviews never came over and now it looks like the book has been sitting in Amazon since 2021 with zero sales. The benefits of "A New Release" is that it gets a little added extra marketing that's done for you. SO I miss out on that. SInce the reviews were the only reason i did this, I think i'm going to take it down and then republish it. Amazon has traditionally had poor support for these types of matters but I will try to ask them about the reviews. My two options: Archive it and resubmit it as a new release or just leave it alone... What would you do?

So my question is this. I have been contemplating doing a rewrite on the first book in a series that is published. The first is really just a short story, the second a little longe and the third novella length. They were originally supposed to be a group of 12 short stories for an anthology to be published at the end. Now I'm thinking they all need more room to breathe so I'd like to rework the first at least but had not done the research in the best way to do this;

@Nick Nebelsky Sorry I wasn't clear. How best to do this and submit the change without incurring any penalties from Amazon.

We could all use a little accountability - Including myself ❤️ Read the questions then grab the template at the bottom and make a post 🗒️ 1️⃣ What is **one specific thing** you completed on your book this week? Examples: * Finalized my book topic * Chose my main keyword + category * Wrote 1,200 words * Edited Chapter 1 * Uploaded my manuscript draft 2️⃣ What is the one thing you can commit to finishing by next week? Examples: * Write 2 chapters * Finish book outline * Draft my book description * Collect 10 competitor book screenshots 3️⃣ One blocker - What slowed you down or got in your way this week? This gives you: * Content ideas * Coaching opportunities * Workshop themes * DM conversations for higher-level support 4️⃣ Where are you at right now? 🔥 On track 🟡 Progress but slow 🔴 Stuck 🧠 Overthinking ⏸️ Life happened Drop your update below 👇 (Keep it short — progress > perfection) 1️⃣ **One thing you completed this week:** 2️⃣ **One thing you’re committing to finish next week:** 3️⃣ **Any blocker slowing you down? Used my recent Reader's Room tool on a book i *thought* was done but 3 of th5 thought it had a week middle (which I kind of agree). And i wrote a tool that is currenlty free to play with to do 3d mockups of your books from a submitted cover image. No Ai. no photoshop. Multiple standard views and templates to use to create your image to submit. Its at 3dmockup.com I *will* add at least an email submission to it so i can see how many times it gets used but right now it's there and just works. Someone in another group posted a site that charges $50 for this which i thought was a stupid price to pay, so this one is free. My blocker was time and a complex issue I still haven't quite figured out

@Nicole Henderson It took me over a year to figure it out. they all have personalities and different roles. I've even asked randomly "what's everyone drinking today, i've got my diet coke". And they all answered with different drinks and why they liked it. blew me away.
A Little Behind the Scenes...
I have been a little quiet in the community lately, not because i've been absent but because i've been building a testing, and building and testing. Children's books can be a good starting place, but they are not the easiest to make. Sure, they are short; they don't take long to write, but trying to format them can be a pain. @Jessica White Reached out to me and said ... but how do I create a "spread," and again, this is no simple task unless you have tools like InDesign or Affinity, which have a pretty big learning curve; it's not so simple. I've heard from so many of you who have told me that character consistency is a STRUGGLE when you're using AI, and I am working toward a SOLVE for that. (It's getting close...) Then I realized random objects you might want to reference were also a struggle to generate from scene to scene, so I've been solving for that too. (It's almost there) So here is just one output of a story I created while I was testing, building, and improving as I go. Let me know what you think!

New Glasses, WHO DIS?
😂 You know you’re getting old when… it’s time to upgrade your glasses. Apparently, I’ve officially graduated from single-vision lenses to progressive lenses. 😂 And since I was upgrading anyway, I decided to order the latest pair of Meta glasses. I’m actually pretty excited about them because I listen to a LOT of content throughout the day—YouTube videos, podcasts, audiobooks, trainings, etc.—and these should make it much easier to listen while I’m on the go. I’ve personally never been a big fan of earbuds. They never seem to sit right in my ears, they get uncomfortable, and I’m constantly worried about losing one. 😆 That’s one of the things I like about the Meta glasses—you can listen without having something stuck in your ears. Now I’m curious… 👓 Does anyone else have Meta glasses? 🎧 Do you actually use them for listening to content? 🤔 Would you buy a pair?
