🎥 Video works for selling books… but it's HARD.
Last year, I spent a lot of time marketing my books with video on TikTok Shop, and it worked. I was selling a few hundred books a month from it part-time. But eventually, I stopped. Not because video stopped working — but because constantly coming up with ideas, writing scripts, getting camera-ready, filming, editing, and posting became a lot to maintain while juggling everything else. And I know a lot of authors here probably feel the same way. That’s why I just published a new video breaking down why video is such a powerful tool for marketing your books, the biggest reasons I still think authors should be using it, and what I’m doing differently now to make the process easier. I also show you a tool @Lexi Kaz created called Sonder that can help create the videos without requiring you to constantly get on camera or come up with the scripts yourself. If you want to check out Sonder, you can also use my referral link here: 👉 MAKE YOUR FIRST VIDEO FREE WITH SONDER I’m curious — what’s the biggest thing that stops YOU from creating more video content for your books? Is it getting on camera, knowing what to say, finding the time, editing… or something else? Drop it below. 👇

📌 DAY 21: Pinterest Challenge Final Week!
We just entered 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟰 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟭𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 — and now it’s time to start thinking beyond just creating Pins. If you really want to accelerate your Pinterest growth, 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿. The more signals Pinterest gets that people are interested in your content, the more opportunities your Pins may have to reach new people. Today’s challenge: Create your Pins, but also spend a little time getting people to interact with your Pinterest account. Try this: 👉Ask people in your network to 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁. 👉Share one of your favorite Pins with friends, readers, or your community. 👉Ask someone who genuinely finds the Pin useful to 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀. 👉Engage with other creators and support their content too. Make sure your Pins are actually worth saving — think checklists, tips, ideas, resources, and helpful information people may want to come back to later. 💡 𝗣𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗶𝗽: Start asking yourself, “𝘞𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳?” That simple question can completely change the type of content you create. A pretty Pin might get noticed. A 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗣𝗶𝗻 is much more likely to get saved. 👇 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟮𝟭 𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗖𝗞-𝗜𝗡: Drop your Pins in the comments so we can engage!
