How do you get quiet members to talk
Happy Wednesday, builders! ❤️🐼 Here’s what’s on my building table: My community is new. People join, but many stay quiet. When I post a question, the same few people answer. Try: this week I posted a 60-second video with one question at the end. It got 16 comments, and members started talking to each other, not just to me. My question for the builders here: what helped YOUR quiet members say their first word?

@Oddysey Campbell Thank you, Oddysey! 🌈 That’s what I saw too. When I shared something real, people opened up. Real invites real. 🐼

You Don't Have to Figure It Out Alone
Happy Wednesday, builders! ❤️ Sometimes we get so caught up in trying to figure everything out ourselves that we forget we have a whole room of people who are building, learning, and figuring things out right alongside us. That's what our Wednesday Build Room is for. Maybe you're working through a decision, trying something new, celebrating a small win, or staring at something that just isn't working the way you hoped. Bring it here! You don't need to have everything figured out before you share. And you certainly don't need to have the right answers. We can ask questions, explore possibilities, and help each other see things we might have missed. And remember, our Thinking Map is here whenever it helps: Notice → Understand → Design → Try → Learn. Most conversations can happen right here where we can all learn together. But if something would be better discussed privately, you're always welcome to DM Todd or me, or ask for a call. So, what's on your building table today? A question, a decision, an unfinished idea, or even something you're excited about? We're here! ❤️🐼

@Donna Thornton Thank you, Donna! ❤️ “Help them get what they came for, whether they’re talking or not.” I’m writing that one down. I’ll try a question inspired by what a new member shared, and I’ll let you know what happens. 🐼

Running my first live workshop tonight
Tonight I’m running my first live workshop for my community. One hour on Zoom, free for members. I kept it simple: 3 stories, 1 question for each, and at the end one clear next step. For the builders who run live calls: what’s your best tip for getting people to talk on a live call, not just watch? 🙏

@Donna Thornton Thank you, Donna! ❤️🐼 “Silence doesn’t mean they have nothing to say.” I’m writing that on my card. I’ll give them time, and use the chat. I’ll let you know how it goes!👍🤗
What tools are you using to help manage your Skool community?
One of our members recently asked about scheduling tools, and I see how many different tools are popping up on Skool... Panda, Skooly, SkoolKit, and probably several others we haven't discovered yet. Todd and I use Panda, but I'm curious what everyone else is using! What are you using, and what's your favorite thing about it? If you're managing everything directly in Skool, we'd love to hear that, too! Let's compare notes! We might discover something that makes community building a little easier for each other. ❤️

Great question, Donna! ❤️ I manage everything directly in Skool for now. My helper is AI. I use Claude to help me write posts and replies, and my notification times are blocked in my Google Calendar, twice a day, so it doesn’t eat my whole day. What’s your favorite thing about Panda? 🐼

@Dennis L Stewart You made it! ❤️ Welcome to Skoolology! We're so glad you decided to come hang out with us. 😊 For those who haven't met Dennis yet, he's the builder behind The Confidence Reset System, where he's helping people find the confidence to move forward, even when they don't feel quite ready. I went over and spent a little time looking at what he's building, and one message caught my attention right away. “Ready is not a feeling. Ready is something you build.” Dennis, you know you're speaking my language! How many times do we hold ourselves back because we're waiting to feel ready? I think most of us have been there a time or two. 😂 Something else I appreciate about Dennis is his belief that friendships come first. That means so very much to me. Dennis, I'm looking forward to getting to know you better and having you join in our conversations. We're just really happy you're here! ❤️ Everyone, come say hello to Dennis!
