The Cold Hard Truth about Cold DMs
First, my apologies to you if someone from my community sent you a cold DM. I am deeply grateful to one of our members for letting me know. I guessed who she was, and immediately banned her from this community. As conscious beings, we know this is not the way to make connections, gain trust, and build our business. It is certainly not the path to creating Rich Relationships.* These are what I strive to build in this community: connections that are nurtured, authentic, and caring. They are reciprocal. I knew I'd written about The Law of Reciprocity recently and googled it. I smiled when @James Bansbach's community came up, because, of course it did. It's a pretty good read about the Law of Reciprocity and the generosity of sprit alive on Skool. "The sacred meaning of the Law of Reciprocity is a cosmic spark and shows up in unexpected, divine ways. It is always delightful: When we give with the generosity of Spirit, we receive a greater gift that touches and blesses our Heart." Thank you to each of you who engages with us in The Language Portal. May you continued to be blessed with love, wisdom, and rich relationships. P.S. * Rich Relationships by Selena Soo is an excellent book.

I got the message from Mirah too, but actually hadn’t connected her to this group so no worries there. I’ve learned from Substack that cold DMs carry no obligation to be polite, responsive or friendly. Skool is a great place but not without it‘s vulnerability, bots, and scammers too. I am very comfortable just not replying anymore but appreciate this proactive message @Pamela Lynch
Sunday's Soulful Story
Who do you speak with during your internal wanderings? The mysteries of life spoke to me as I threw on my runners in response to a whisper. "The kettle can wait. Remember the promise you made to yourself? Get outside ... even when the sky is gloomy. The path wants your heart and the trees wants you to hear their wisdom." I sprinted across Lakeshore Road and into the park breezeway. As I slowed down, a red robin nuzzled its beak in search of nutrition. I imagine it is blessed with a fat ole worm. The screams from packed sidelines at the newest season of young soccer players were reminiscent of a different time cheering my sons on during hockey tournaments. A different sport but the same enthusiasm watching our children play with teammates. Spirit guided me on in appreciation for the fresh air. An old man walking on the same grassy edge of the path, asked, "Did you remember your mukluks?" "I did not." And we both grinned catching sight of my wet runners. Nature was out in full force. Ducks with their webbed feet splashed through the puddles to find abundance in the soft, mucky ground. As I passed underneath the trees with white flowers bursting out of their buds, I thanked the Divine Light of the Creator. Nature is infinitely abundant. Everything is fully provided for ... season after season. And I heard, "And you are just as abundant." Sometimes the gloomiest days following a rain storm are the brightest. Through it all, I listened. Guided by my inner wisdom, knowing I am never alone in this conversation. The higher part of me that brought awareness to each moment, the whisper that says, "Get outside," knows my curiosity leads to conversations with the Creator. What does your Soul want you to hear today? I'd love for you to share what is on your mind, your response to your Sunday's Soulful Story.

Not yet, but I’ll check Barney Bentall out. I wrote a new Substack article yesterday, that’s my highlight or achievement this week. It’s been almost 3 months since I wrote my last article which I finished and posted from within your Language Portal! Still looking forward to digging more into The Living Journal in May and joining the Language Portal again.
Acts of Random Kindness
Acts of Random Kindness June 29, 2007 By Bear Warrior Gonzales What if changing the world didn’t require wealth, power, or fame? What if the power to change the world was already in your hands hidden in the simple act of kindness? Tonight, I took my fiancée out on our regular Friday night date. First, we picked up my paycheck and cashed it, and then we went out to dinner. After dinner we went to the movies and watched the film Evan Almighty. In the movie, Evan runs for Congress under the campaign slogan “Change the World.” He wins the election, and suddenly, his whole world begins to change. Then God, played by Morgan Freeman, appears in his life and asks him, “You want to change the world, right?” Evan answers yes. God then tells him the way to change the world is by practicing Acts of Random Kindness, one act at a time. That idea made me stop and think. Changing the world doesn’t begin with massive movements or grand speeches. It begins with something much simpler one act of kindness at a time. And it doesn’t stop after one act. It becomes a way of living. It becomes a part of your daily life. In the movie, Evan’s wife almost leaves him because of the changes happening in his life. That part made me think even deeper. Many people are afraid of change, and sometimes, they walk away when they see it happening. I remember when I began changing in my own life. People were afraid of me because of my reputation. They believed that if they disrespected me or someone I loved, they would pay a heavy price. I was filled with anger, hatred, and violent rage. When I began to change, something interesting happened. Some people started mistaking my kindness for weakness. Others tried to take advantage of it. I had to show them something important: Kindness is not weakness. Kindness is strength under control. When you begin practicing acts of random kindness regularly, some people will misunderstand you. Some will try to take advantage of you. But that’s okay. We live in a world where many people look at life only for what they can get out of it, a world where the “dog-eat-dog” mentality is common. But if you practice acts of random kindness with a pure heart without seeking gain, recognition, or approval, you will be blessed, and you will help change this world.
