Y Combinator (a massive startup incubator who helped launch Airbnb, Dropbox & many others) won't even invest in a company or offer mentorship to anyone who doesn't have a co-founder. It's not worth their time because of the high failure rate of solo founders. So that's step 1: Decide if you're going to be behind the scenes or if you're going to be the face. Whichever position you choose, find someone to take care of the other role.
