Man, yesterday was a really productive day for me - in the real world. We finally got the electrical worked out so the fan we installed several weeks ago thinking we would "just" hook the Romex (the wiring) from the fan through the ceiling of our 125 year old house right across the floor of the attic and then drop it down the wall to the outlet ... Have you ever done any home improvement project where it was just like you expected it to be and took you 20 minutes? To begin with apparently there is a second floor in the attic which one accesses through a small hole in the closet of my bedroom which is part of the 3rd addition to the house. Once you go through the hole you have to squeeze through another section and then there is the actual roof off the original house - that's as much as I can see from the opening of the hole cause there is no way in hell I'm going through that hole... My husband and one of my sons ran the wire a full weekend project in itself - the next weekend was just getting the fan attached to the ceiling. This weekend for rewiring the porch light so that we could get power to the switch and be able to run the fan - and it will be another weekend when I will work on putting the dry wall back over the space. I did get a new porch light out of the deal too and am really happy with it. Today I'm going to take it easy - I slept in as long as the dogs would let me - my husband got up first which never happens and they were all confused. Did you have a productive Saturday too or did you get to hang out and relax? ๐ŸŒผ๐Ÿชด๐Ÿ๐ŸŒด๐Ÿชด๐Ÿ๐ŸŒผ This week is going to be jam packed: Monday is the VIP Mastermind 3pm mtn - we are working through the Client Attraction Masterclass - a course designed to facilitate the setting up of/restructuring of your business so that it is designed to attract clients systematically. You can learn more about that here: #Introduction Monday the Soulful Marketing Magic Summit kicks off here

@Ken Hyra then you understand the challenge - can you believe they had to keep track of the hot wire all through the process? I remember when I was young my dad helped me to make a flash light of sorts - it was my first experience with how electricity works - that little project (a board a wire a light and a knob to press down to make the light come on as we completed the circuit and a battery. ) really simple but also has helped me the rest of my life when trying to figure stuff like this out.

@Gwynne Conlyn exactly
ABOUT MY SUBSTACK. AND MY LATEST STORY.
Many husbands, many lovers, and a life of writing. When my fifth husband died, grief shattered me. Yet rebuilding taught me a vital truth: loss and divorce weren't the end of my story. It should also not be yours. https://fiveweddingsandafuneral.substack.com/p/paying-for-the-mirage-what-a-narcissists?r=8h73v And here's my latest post: A classic case of grief meets grifter. After losing my soulmate, I fell for an "irresistible bohemian" who turned out to be less free-spirited rogue and more freeloader with a personality disorder. Live-in spectator for his ego? Check. Unwitting sponsor of his Turkish sailing holiday, rent, and booze supply? Double check. Turns out, he wasnโ€™t a romantic rescue project; he was just a textbook narcissist hunting an empathetic target. But the (eventual) joke was on him: I finally saw past the mask, cut my losses, and cancelled his free ride. Expensive lesson? Absolutely. But reclaiming my sanity? Utterly priceless. @Gwynne Conlyn your stories are great cautionary tales but also good reads

My mind has been rather blown lately... every day I read through your notes and your posts. It feels like I've walked into your life. Like opening a treasure chest and examining each jewel closely. Seeing people hit the rising in categories on Substack - so exciting. @Alli Gatlin has been on it and just last night @Janay Trevillion hit #47 rising in Travel - it's one of those things that is very fleeting and feels special when you can catch it. I know there are others in here who have been rising in a categories too (please share!!). One of the reasons I talk about adding the "smaller" less competitive category first is that it's easier to get traction in the smaller category than the more competitive one though that might be the one that more accurately describes what you do. We did a mastermind about this a while back - you can catch that here - https://youtu.be/aDqcuK3bOqU or open the description, copy the transcript, drop it into ai and get ai to summarize for you. On that note... ๐ŸŸข๐Ÿ”ท๐Ÿ—จ๏ธ๐ŸซŸ๐Ÿ—จ๏ธ๐Ÿ”ท๐ŸŸข I'm opening up the podcast for new guests to feature (or re-featuring you if it's been a bit) if you're interested in joining me to share what you're doing to be the change you seek in the world please pop over to the application page here (you can learn more about the podcast and get on the calendar there) ๐ŸŸข๐Ÿ”ท๐Ÿ—จ๏ธ๐ŸซŸ๐Ÿ—จ๏ธ๐Ÿ”ท๐ŸŸข Next Tuesday we're doing the Substack Setup Intensive LIVE - we go through all the settings, talk about setting up the custom theme and highlight the important - must do pieces to get your Substack setup to be fully monetizable and sustainable long term. This is not a one and done course - Substack is always changing and adding things - which is why the replays are so helpful. There's a lot. You can learn more here: #๐ŸŽฏSTART HERE

@Carol Hudnell you can always post duplicated links to notes in both groups. The biggest deal about Learn Substack is that it's public so those links get indexed and support your Substack account
