Okay I’m a big nerd and find quotes really inspiring and helpful. So if this is for you too, awesome. If not, skip 😅 “This is a game of tenacity that can’t break you if you don’t give up.” -Jennifer Nielsen

Every month, the Author Q&A attendees are entered into a contest to win a free book by the visiting Q&A author. We're a little behind on announcing the July winner, so here's two months at once. And the winners are . . . July: @Brindizi Hamblin (book by Marc J. Gregson or Erin Stewart) August: @Janelle Youngstrom (book by Brandon Mull) Congratulations! 🥳 The author will select which of their books to send you, but please DM me your shipping address. @Brindizi Hamblin, since there were two Q&A's in July, also let me know whether you want a book from Marc J. Gregson or Erin Stewart. Stay tuned for more info soon about our September Q&A event!

This Thursday, August 13 at 7 p.m. MDT, StoryClub will be hosting an author Q&A with Brandon Mull, New York Times-bestselling author of the Fablehaven, Beyonders, and newly released Guardians series! You can learn more about Brandon's books on his website here. What questions do you have for Brandon? You'll also be able to ask questions real-time during the Q&A, but post any advance questions in the comments below 👇 Along with answering questions and giving general writing advice, Brandon will be talking about the upcoming film adaptation of Fablehaven by Angel Studios! By attending the event, you are also entered into a book giveaway contest to receive one of Brandon Mull's books 📚🏆 See you there!

Let's GO! I have some travel planned this month, so I would have loved to start by getting two or three thousand words to be ahead of it, but I didn’t. I didn’t get started writing until 9:45 tonight. I was scared that I would be at the computer for an hour or more. I wrote 1,010 words in almost exactly 40 min. I’m going to bed now, I’ll post weekly updates here, but I’m going to daily vlog this on my insta if you want to follow along. @ericleroyanderson
