I love seeing where we all play guitar! Iāve been able to play guitar in 7 countries and 48 US states. Where is the coolest place youāve played guitar? My favorite changes all the time. Most recently, itās been in the Joshua tree forest in Arizona.
@Kristina Dolgan I donāt know whatās up. I think tomorrow Iām going to go back to uploading the videos the old way which is slow but I know works. Itās late where I live so it will have to be tomorrow. š¬šš¤¦
What would you most like to see happen in here? My biggest goals are to get everyone in the community posting a progress or challenge video or question once a month. Just one thing once a month. What is your biggest goals?
@John Voelkel multi track recording is sure fun. I would definitely keep it as simple as possible for the sake of time. The best recording people get whole albums tracked in a take or two then hand it over to edits. Usually, the production side needs an hour or two with a song before itās ready. I get bogged down experimenting with delays and reverbs and making little corrections and never finish a song hahahah
@John Voelkel totally! When I was recording all the time we would record the tracks no matter how bad they were and then finish meaning weāre done recording. Then we would come back to each track and do our editing and production stuff. We didnāt have any budget to pay someone most of the time itās two different parts of your brain performing and making technical edits in a computer..
ā¦if you play them simply. I am playing a lot of Christmas Music around town this year. Sometimes the hard chords or unusual rhythms can be intimidating but take them out. You can play ALL the Christmas songs more simply than you think. Donāt get locked in the genre or radio version of a song. Strum a G chord and start singing.
