I already had a WOW-picture. Now it's up front and center!
#DAY 2 Amazing day yesterday. I got so many insights into things I already do and I realize why they work and what I need to develop even more. And amazingly enough when I was going to draw my WOW-picture I realized that I already have one that I drew of the organisation I've founded, which is my mission in life, and the things I hope we will achieve in a couple of years. Something I realized though, was that it was in the "wrong place" .So what I did is that I moved the picture and now I will see it in front of me every day when I'm working. Today we are a super small organisation, but I know that if I would become 100-1000 % better at presenting and communicating it actually would be possible to reach these goals in 3-5 yrs time. And taking part of this Challenge has really helped me realize that. I have a PITCH (approximately 100 people) that I'm going to make in exactly 4 weeks time and I'm looking forward to it with anticipation. It is going to be awesome. I have practiced speaking to people almost every day about our organization and finally it is time to go big and invite people to co-create together with us. Next to my WOW-picture of the organisation I founded is what I call my "powerwall" where I have pictures mostly of people I admire, my team and people who support me. The aim is to boost me to continue being courageous and reach for the stars. Dare take the contacts that I need to take, reach out to people that I think can help me be the best I can to help the kids that today are at-risk and who could be helped by our organisation or people we can work together with. As you can see I've put David there right next to me - shoulder to shoulder. Ever so glad to have someone who also has a daring goal - to help all kids become awesome communicators.

I asked chatGPT to write "as David JP Phillips"... judge by yourselves
We joked about it during the VIP call, so I asked ChatGPT to act as David and write an amazing talk. I even give it instruction on how to make it compelling... but as you can see we still have good days ahead of us as speakers... This is the text as it was produced, without any alteration (the repetitions are therefore intended by the AI). Any feedback for the poor chatGPT or, even better, a 110 steps evaluation is greatly appreciated ;) > Prompt: I want you to act as the master public speaker David JP Phillips. I will give you a topic for a talk. You will write a script for the talk. The script should use a dramatic arc that starts strong, continue lower and end strong. The script should build anticipation to bring up dopamine. The script should leverage personal stories to increase oxytocin and build a powerful message. The topic is: "How to become a world-class speaker". > ChatGPT: [Intro] Ladies and Gentlemen, it is my absolute pleasure to be here with you today to share with you the journey that led me to become a world-class speaker. I have had the privilege of traveling the world, inspiring and motivating millions of people. And today, I want to share with you the secrets to becoming a world-class speaker. [Rise and Fall] But let me take you back to my early days, when I was just starting out as a speaker. I was nervous, unsure, and lacked the confidence to captivate an audience. My speeches were dull, uninspiring and lacked impact. I was stuck in a rut, feeling discouraged and defeated. But then, I had a realization. The realization that the only thing standing between me and my dream of becoming a world-class speaker was me. [Climax] So, I set out on a journey to improve my skills, to perfect my craft, and to become the speaker that I always knew I could be. I studied the greats, I practiced every day, and I took chances. I put myself in uncomfortable situations, and pushed myself to the limit. And let me tell you, the results were incredible.

Most wanted corporate soft skill trainer
#DAY 2 If I had no limits, how good in presenting would I like to become? I would master the art presenting and delivering my stories in the most compelling and life changing way on stage. How would it impact my life/career? With growing momentum I know how to amuse and entertain in a fun and inspirational way, with loads of anticipation of course ๐Ÿ˜‰. In the beginning it will lead to a constant increasing audience. In my profession I will grow to the most wanted soft skill trainer in the tech industry. Draw my life, how it would look like in 3 years time from now on. People will listen to my live changing stories and I get booked by other to tell my stories to them. In my profession working for the big companies. Transform: 1. Master the ability to change the emotional state in others and myself 2. Learning to raise my voice and also working with my tone of voice. 3. Tell more stories, long short does not matter, I need to tell moreover and learn how to deliver them. Why: I have actually two why's: 1. Growing up with not my biological father for the most important part of my youth as it shaped my path. I hoped that my father would recognise me and finally see me that I am worthy when I would be successful. Today I follow my heart and joy in professional and private life. My wish is to support those, that grew up in a upbringing were one or both parents were missing, with my stories in their journey of self gratification and self worth. 2. The people that actually where present during my upbringing all had difficulties in social interactions. I really frustrates my when people are not able to get in to contact with each other because their own belief in themselves is in the way. I want to help them out, showing them the way to get in to connection with life, with others.

@Joris Noordzij Well said! Are you currently a corporate trainer by profession?

@Joris Noordzij Very cool! I am a sales enabler/trainer/coach so I work closely with product teams and L&D. Presentation skills is certainly a useful skill to spice up the typical boring demos and trainings!
Loved the session... but not interested in Fame (at least anytime soon!)
#DAY 3 Based on today's chat responses, I am not alone in wanting to improve Content, Skills, and Strategy and that most of us are not seeking Fame (and therefore the Marketing associated to get there). But something to consider if I ever have aspirations to become an international keynote speaker! Attached is my sheet!
I don't believe limitations exist.
#DAY 2 Controversial Opinion: I do not believe in limits in human ability. There are no limits, the only limit is time. (Worksheet attached)
