Day 3 Conversations That Transform-The Jesus Model
Love and Truth Belong Together Jesus never watered down truth. But He also never weaponized it. People were drawn to Jesus because they experienced both honesty and compassion. Truth without love creates distance. Love without truth prevents growth. Scripture John 8:11 (NIV) “‘Then neither do I condemn you,’ Jesus declared. ‘Go now and leave your life of sin.’” Jesus extended grace and called for transformation. The Jesus Model Speak truth to build people—not win arguments. Reflection Questions - Am I avoiding hard conversations? - Do I confuse honesty with harshness? - How can I communicate truth with care? Action Steps - Speak encouragement before correction. - Practice saying difficult things kindly. - Ask: “How can I help instead of criticize?” Prayer Jesus, help me speak with both courage and compassion.

I think when I come from a place of love and have established the relationship, I can structure the difficult conversions with a measure of grace that will build and not destroy. I can structure the conversation with love and hard truth. The hardest conversations might hurt a little, but comfort is not how we grow. We grow in discomfort. So, my prayer would be that God helps me to be comfortable in my discomfort! Let's get discomfortable!
Conclusion: Carry the Towel
Over these last five days, we’ve discovered something that changes everything: Jesus never asked us to chase position. He invited us to pick up a towel. In a world that tells us to build platforms, protect status, and make life about ourselves, Jesus knelt down. He washed feet. He served. And then He looked at His disciples and essentially said: “Now go do the same.” Carrying the towel is not weakness. It is Kingdom strength. It means: - Choosing people over popularity. - Serving before being seen. - Leading by lifting others. - Showing up when no one applauds. - Building disciples instead of building our own image. The truth is this: Anyone can sit in a seat. Not everyone will pick up the towel. But movements are built by people who do. Your family changes when someone carries the towel. Your workplace changes when someone carries the towel. Your church changes when someone carries the towel. Communities change when people stop asking, “Who will serve me?” and start asking, “Who can I serve?” So here is your challenge: Don’t let this be a 5-day inspiration moment. Make it a lifestyle. Action Steps: 1. Identify one person you can intentionally serve this week. 2. Ask God each morning: “Where can I carry the towel today?” 3. Do one act of service anonymously. 4. Invite someone else to serve with you. 5. Write down what changed in you after choosing service. Remember: The towel in your hand may feel small… …but in the hands of Jesus, it can change lives. Carry the towel. Serve people. Build disciples. Leave a legacy. See you in the next journey.

I will carry the towel. I will be a doer of His word. 1 John 4:4 teaches us that we are from God and have already won a victory over people, because the spirit LIVES in US is greater that the spirit who lives in the world. This is telling me to take His towel, His holy towel and use it to wipe away anything that would separate us from His mercy and Grace. Keep His towel in my hand and be postured to use it anywhere and at any time in this world with a heart full of His love. The price has been paid, and we are CALLED to spread His good news! When You Get Stuck, Look Up
“I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” — Psalm 121:1-2 There will be moments in life when you feel stuck. Stuck in a situation, stuck in your growth, stuck in your calling, or stuck waiting for God to move. In those moments, our natural tendency is to look around for answers or look within for strength. But Scripture teaches us to look up. God has never been confused by the challenges you’re facing. He is not surprised by the obstacle in front of you, nor is He limited by what seems impossible. The same God who parted the Red Sea, raised the dead, and transformed ordinary people into world changers is at work in your life today. Being stuck does not mean God has abandoned you. Often, it is in those seasons that He is teaching you to trust Him more deeply, depend on Him more fully, and follow Him more closely. Don’t allow a temporary obstacle to become a permanent stopping point. Pray. Seek God’s wisdom. Take the next faithful step. Trust that He is working even when you cannot see it. Today’s Challenge:Instead of focusing on what’s blocking your path, spend time focusing on the One who can make a way where there seems to be no way. Ask God what your next step is and commit to taking it. Prayer:Father, when I feel stuck, help me to keep my eyes on You. Remind me that my help comes from You and that nothing is impossible in Your hands. Give me wisdom, courage, and faith to take the next step You are calling me to take. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

This is exactly right! For too long I relied on my own understanding of His plan for my life. It’s His plan, so why wouldn’t I ask and seek Him about it? Why would I ever think I could imagine or know what He has in store for me? The truth is, I can’t. But when I seek Him and His word, that’s when I feel He reveals it to me—not the whole plan, because I’d mess it up, but just the part He wants me to see next. What a good Father!
