Warmth โค๏ธ What's your word spin ?
An invitation to create comfort, coziness, safety, and glow Where do you feel most like you โ€” and how can you bring that feeling closer today? ๐Ÿ’ฌ๐Ÿ’ฌ Well I'm about to be curled up on the couch with my man. Thai food and a good movie ๐Ÿฟ ๐ŸŽฅ That feels like warmth to me

A nice cup of earl grey tea (such an English thing for someone who's not) ๐Ÿ˜ wrapped in my favourite blankie, then I'm either journaling or crocheting or sketching. Kitty usually on my lap.

No filters. No fixing. No โ€œIโ€™ll wait untilโ€ฆโ€ Just you, today. This morning I popped on a new tee I grabbed from Target โ€” $15 bargain ๐Ÿ™Œ (Lily Loves if youโ€™re curious). Itโ€™s soft. Slightly oversized. One of those โ€œI didnโ€™t know I needed thisโ€ finds. And the best part? The second I put it on, I felt good. Comfortable. Like myself. Not dressed up. Not trying. Justโ€ฆ settled. Thatโ€™s the kind of energy weโ€™re sharing here. ๐Ÿ“ธ Your turn: Snap a photo of you today โ€” work you, cosy you, messy bun you, post-shower you, school-run you, couch-with-tea you. Upload it in ๐—ฆ๐—ฒ๐—น๐—ณ๐—ถ๐—ฒ-๐—ง๐—ถ๐—บ๐—ฒ | ๐—ง๐—ต๐—ถ๐˜€ ๐—œ๐˜€ ๐— ๐—ฒ and then take a moment to leave a kind comment on at least one other sisterโ€™s photo. Weโ€™re practising seeing ourselves โ€” and each other โ€” with softer eyes. Iโ€™ll drop mine below ๐Ÿ’›

A new perspective for Reflection
I follow a fellow skooler on the platform Medium. And she is an avid book reader and author, but has just penned this beautiful article about reading Non-fiction the way she reads Fiction. Here is a paragraph that resonated with me: 'Mornings with my tea became a ritual of rereading, underlining passages, jotting down thoughts, and noticing what surfaced as I connected the words to my own life. Sometimes those reflections took me back to things I hadnโ€™t thought about in years.' 'I would finish a book, feel how much I loved it, and jump into the next in the series or find something similar.' And then a thought floated in:What if I did this with my fiction books too? - What if I started underlining or tabbing the sentences that pulled at me? - What if I started writing down my thoughts in the margins? - What if I started having a dialogue with the story as I read? She now reads books using sticky-notes, writing down lines that truly resonate and then exploring them. writing 'Sometimes I knew why. Other times I didnโ€™t.' Sometimes I knew why. Other times I didnโ€™t." As some of you may recall, I'm not a big reader, but I'd love to be better at it. But this article made me appreciate that reflection and working through the history of our lives does always have to come from a stringent journal practice or prompt. I'd love you to share your thoughts ๐Ÿ’ญ๐Ÿ’ญ๐Ÿ’ญ ๐Ÿง  Have you ever done something like this and reflected on life's moments, thoughts and feelings from a non-fiction book ? Share your thoughts below. ๐Ÿง  Is it something you would try ? You can read the original article here: https://medium.com/activated-thinker/how-writing-in-the-margins-changed-my-life-12945f543aab

I do ..with any book that captures something inside me. At the end of the day, bought this book for me .. to learn, to enjoy, to pick apart, to relish, to gobble up... I don't have to pass it on to someone, I can share the book title or but them their own copy. Or they can borrow it with my notes if that doesn't bother them.

@Julie Burns yes! Old fashioned transistor radio ๐Ÿ“ป I love it. It was a gift from an older client when I was working in an office. I've had it for 30 years!
