ICM Portfolio Upgrade
@Derrick Avent left one line on my last post that stood out: “focus on security guardrails for your clients.” He was right. What I thought was a 30-minute fix turned into a full portfolio upgrade. It triggered a full audit and revisit of @Jake Van Clief article *ICM-Folder-Structure-as-Agentic-Architecture*. Five repos. Five domains. Same structural upgrade, domain-specific guardrails added to each. 8 commits. 86 files. 5,667 lines. One community comment triggered all of this. I went back and fixed it properly instead of patching the surface. Has anyone else been updating competition entries? Drop a comment or reach out directly if you want to dig into the architecture. And @Derrick Avent , genuinely appreciate the pointer. ----- *All five repos public on GitHub: github.com/orteug*

Let's get it...
📚 Introducing askbas.com (and yes, Bas 2.0 is a real bot 😅) Coming soon to a browser near you....
Hi Clief Notes Community! If you have not met me yet, my name is Bas and I am one of the members of our community! ⭐EDIT* Apparently there is a vote going on whether or not I should change my profile picture. https://www.skool.com/cliefnotes/petition-to-change-bas-profile-photo?p=abbdd137 Clief Notes is a very special place to me and I am always trying to bring us value so we can learn, grow and win together! 🤓💪🏆 So, I have already shared the Praxis Library a 255-page tribute to prompt engineering and AI literacy. After a recent post @Curtis Hays made about me, and after I wiped the tears from my eyes, I started to build something new, and I am building that something for us. Curtis Post You all joke that I'm a bot. 🤖 So I made one. Meet Bas 2.0, the curator of a new work in progress library at askbas.com. (Coming Soon page is up) I can't always be in the thread the second you get stuck, so I built a version of me that can be. Tell him what you're after and he'll pull it off the shelf for you, day or night. 📝NOTE: Not on the shelf yet? Bas 2.0 will open a search in the site and look up the ask with you, and he will send me a notification so we can look into what you wanted to see and add it to the pages of the library for others who could learn from the lesson. 📚 What's on the shelves: - 🌐A working library of AI Knowledge, ICM, context engineering, model tutorials, and multi-agent systems. - 🏫 Learning paths for wherever you are: a Beginner's Path, a Practitioner's Path, and an ICM Deep Dive. - 🤝 A hands-on how-to library, from Claude Code, Co-Work, and Design to ChatGPT, Goals, and Codex all the way through to Skills to building your own agents. - 📝 Lessons built to make this click, not just to fill a page.

I'm flattered! And it's a great breakdown!!
Someone shared that a person a reaction video was made about my method and at first I was nervous but immediately it was amazing praise. I have never met with this person one-on-one and I haven't paid them or done anything other than post my own videos ! I think they do a great job at breaking some of the concepts down. It does an amazing job of breaking down some of the logic especially some parts where I go ranting in my video he slows it down a bunch ! Much needed

@Raul Cabrera Interpretable Context Methodology (ICM), created by Jake Van Clief, is an AI agent framework that replaces complex code-based orchestration (like LangChain or CrewAI) with standard folder and markdown structures.
HIPAA/GDPR and API Calls
Anyone building anything that requires HIPAA or GDPR compliance, where you need an Enterprise Account from Anthropic to get agreements in place to cover you for those regulatory things? I was talking to someone that might want me to build something, but they need it to be HIPAA compliant. Which I totally get. I know I can get a BAA agreement on an Enterprise account to cover HIPAA stuff, but is that a general coverage for all occurrences of a client that needs HIPAA or do I need a new agreement with Anthropic for each HIPAA or GDPR type client? I was just checking to see if anyone has run into that before I talk to Anthropic about it.

Rich, I'm work on a dashboard now for a nurse practitioner; that requires HIPAA. Just make sure patients files are in a separate silo and can't cross streams. Seriously, first thing i had claude do was research HIPAA compliance and made claude check for leaked material alone the build; especially how materialare storedon server and access. Have claude make a checklist to pass a HIPAA audit.
Clarifications about Folders & Agents
Hi everyone, I've been wrapping my head around ICM and agents. I'm a non-technical user even though I have a bit of background of workflow process engineering, and I'm still trying to understand what we were taught, and thought it'd be good to clarify with the community. When we build folders and sub-folders, can I say that the sub-folders are actually the "agents" that handle that part of the work? So if we have a content creation workflow, and research is a sub-folder, it is actually a 'research agent'. Is this understanding correct? So technically I can run hermes, claude cowork or goose cli on this folder, and it will react the same way (from the context and whatever is in the folders), is this correct? So technically if there is no requirement to have a build, it will just run as-is on the folders with no py script or type-script files, right?

Started to answer your question, I wouldn't do it justice. @Bas Rosario https://www.skool.com/cliefnotes/new-to-icm-icm-explained-with-a-birthday-cake?p=04ac5c73 please have a gander at the birthday cake....

@Bas Rosario real talk. I got tired some years ago naming client programs files(with job# and/or without job#); So I started using Pascal for naming file in Windows(boo)/Linux(Yay). Never had structure passed what was in root folder/sub folders, i called it a beautiful-soup. Learning the ICM way isn't just awesome with agents and whatnot; it's a great method just to get your shit together (drawings, asbuild, version) for a workspace. Bravo
