Grateful
Feeling good today. I think the Q&A session and the wise advice from AI helped me to come back to a more balanced mindset. Worked in the garden for a while and enjoyed doing it in spite of the voices that keep telling me ‘this is too much for you’, ‘it’s overwhelming’, etc. But my own voice and my choices won!!

@Leonie Osborne thank you for your kind words. I pray that you will continue to overcome whatever challenges you have to face. We’re all in this together.
Check-in on Saturday, July 11, for yesterday and this morning
📅 Daily Check-in - July 11, 2026 💭 Reflection: Later today my wife and I will be leaving for Germany again to attend my mom's funeral (we were there a few weeks ago for a vacation and to see my mom while she was still alive) - she looked like she was in better physical shape than last time I saw her, 3 years ago. She died peacefully and painfree in her sleep last Monday. I did my morning walk and decided to ring the doorbell at Kerstin's house around the corner, just to find out if she is alive and doing ok. I had not seen her for quite a while - we sometimes meet when she walks her cute MaltiYork dog Layla past our house. We had a very open talk about ADD, ADHD, Autism, and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (Kerstin's daughter Emma and my daughter Jennifer both have it). I tried to be a good listener, I could sense Kerstin's exhaustion. She is drawn between two worlds: her German home, and her Canadian home. She never got along with her mom, and most of the hoped for parental love and recognition came in the form of non-acceptance and criticism. I will visit her again when we are back. There is also the prospect of getting to look after her dog Layla from time to time - a prospect I am really looking forward to. I encouraged her to use us as dog sitters whenever she needs. Now I might take a 20 minute nap, and then finish packing. The plan is to get picked up by an Uber at 16:30. In spite of the sad reason, I am actually looking forward to travelling to Germany again - quite a bit. 📊 Wellbeing Scores: 😊 Happiness: 7/10 ⚡ Energy: 6/10 🎯 Focus: 5/10 😌 Calmness: 5/10 🌙 Sleep Quality: 3/10 🔥 Motivation: 6/10 ⭐ Average: 5.3/10 ✅ Activities from yesterday: 🚿 Cold Shower 😴 Nap ☀️ Morning Sunlight 💧 Stayed Hydrated 🌬️ Breathwork 🌿 Grounding 🚶 Walk 🥗 Healthy Eating 🍺 No Alcohol ☕ No Late Caffeine 💊 Took Supplements 🥦 Ate Vegetables 🧘‍♂️ Meditation 📝 Journaling 💚 Gratitude Practice ✨ Positive Mindset 🎯 Deep Work 📚 Reading 🎸 Skill Practice 👥 Quality Time

I’m also sorry to hear about your mom but I’m happy to see how peaceful you sound. It looks like gratitude is a predominant feeling as you also take time to look after your friend.
Old habits trying hard to come back!
The last few days have been frustrating. Too much activity and not enough time to focus on myself have made me kate

@Bobbie Eden You are such a caring, thoughtful person, Bobbie. And you have great communication skills, you will do well in whatever you pursue. I will keep in mind that it is important to recognize even small wins. When we are perfectionists that is hard to do. But yes, we are doing all of this together. What a blessing!

@Deb Brouwer this is worth memorizing!
Curious, what has been most valuable to you?
I’m improving the onboarding for ADHD Harmony and I’d love your input. What has been the most valuable thing you’ve gotten from this community/our programs so far? I want to make sure new members get as much value as possible right from the start, so your answer will help me shape the onboarding around what actually works. Would love to see your input in the comments.

I guess I answered that question in the other thread. Everything is done in a way that creates an excellent environment for transformation.

I think a review of strategies in how to return to ‘sanity’ quickly when we get overwhelmed, before we fall into our old patterns. So far everything has been extremely useful. The way you transmit the content of the presentations, your passion and genuine desire to help, the AI tools and the community, all combine to create a unique environment to help us find a better way to live.
