Creating new profile for specialised service?
Hi everyone, my current Upwork profile is focused on SEO services, and most of my reviews reflect that. However, I’m now looking to start applying for Google Ads projects as i have experience here as well. Would you recommend creating a separate specialized profile for this (as shown in the screenshot below), or is it better to keep everything under my existing one? The only concern I have is that my reviews might not appear on the new specialized profile.

@Chris Stack Hey Hey! Here's how you should structure it: In your main profile, talk about both services, this way you can get invitations and inbound DMs for Both services (your main profile is the one that shows up in search rankings), and then you should have a specialized profile for each service - one for SEO, one for Google ads - that way when you see an SEO job you can use your specialized profile that talks only about SEO. That being said, if you don't have any reviews that are related to Google ads, I would wait to create the Google ads specialized profile until you have 2-3 reviews that are related to google ads, so when you create the specialized profile you can associate those reviews with the google ads profile. For now, use the main profile to apply to Google ads jobs.
What To Do If You Get A Bad Review On Upwork...
Getting a bad review on Upwork sucks. And on September 26th I got my first one... But since then, I've signed 11 new clients on Upwork. So I filmed a YouTube video covering what to do if you ever get hit with a bad review, how to limit the damage it does to your profile, and how to get your Job Success Score (JSS) back up fast so you can get back to signing clients. You can check it out here: https://youtu.be/3q-cW2xu8So?si=OKx4UY_mRHoHoqJR

From Zero Experience to $2K+ on Upwork | What Worked for Me
My Upwork Journey: From First Client to $2K+ in 5 months (With Dates & Milestones) - Watch the loom below to get more insights !! Sharing this not just as a win only but as a real timeline of how things evolved from zero outreach to consistent work 📍 Phase 1: The First Clients (No Outreach) For the first 3 months, I didn’t do any outreach. I focused 100% on editing work I received through my partner's profile: - Client #1 — Hassan → Started: March 11, 2025 - Client #2 — Minou → Started: March 20, 2025 - Client #3 — Ted → Started: April 8, 2025 These projects weren’t high-ticket, but they helped me: - Get hands-on practice - Deliver full edits by myself (no outsourcing) - Understand how Upwork works - Learned communicating with clients. From March 11 to June 22, I earned a total of $675 from these early projects. 🔧 Phase 2: Profile Optimization & Mindset Shift While working on those projects, I also began studying from community following the structure: - Profile optimization - Outreach strategy - Proposal writing - How to choose the right clients This laid the foundation for the next leap. 🚀 Phase 3: Real Outreach + First Direct Client On June 22, 2025, I got my first client through my outreach on upwork. This client (Noah) hired me for a $350 VSL video project. That was my sign that what I was learning was working. From June 22 to July 22 (1 month), I went from 0 direct clients to multiple jobs earning $1,105 in just one month. (Some payments are still in pending, but booked and in progress.) 📊 Summary: From March to July - 🔹 March 11 – June 22: $675 earned (referral-based work) - 🔹 June 22 – July 22: $1,105 earned (via own profile + outreach) Total so far: $1,780+ in confirmed work And finally crossed $2K in total Upwork revenue 🎯 📈 What’s Next? - Reach $15K+ in next 3 months - Scaling outreach. - Managing bigger client flows. - Helping my partners grow using the same steps I took. If you’re still stuck in the "no client" phase, this is your reminder:
