Expressing gratitude for this group. Itโ€™s a privilege to be in the company of people who are at successful stages and keen to grow and evolve. Iโ€™m still at the baby biz stage, so itโ€™s pretty cool to hear you guys quote gastronomical prices for your work and worth. I know Iโ€™ll get there one day because of it. Yesterday on the call, I shared something about belief. Earlier in the week, I was paid for three daysโ€™ work, but when I received the money, I felt depressed because it didnโ€™t seem like enough. I therefore tied it to feelings of failure, low self-worth, and a sense of inferior value. To reframe it, however, I proposed an amount I had never proposed before for a service I uniquely specialise in. And itโ€™s the start of building my long-term, future-self offer and vision. So thatโ€™s cool. After our Friday call, I decided to go for it and win the day by sending another quote for a follow-up service to the same client. I quoted a price and package Iโ€™d never done before, so that felt good, too. However, when I left the office, I received some information about that project. I was offering writing services (website copy) for an art gallery that was launching an exhibition. The artist sent me the catalogue, and my jaw dropped at the listed prices for their work, as it meant I could have charged much more for the value I was giving the gallery. The past version of me at the start of the week would have felt a bit depressed and maybe berated myself a bit upon receiving this news. The new one, funnily enough, just laughed it out loud at myself and shook it off instantly. Because I know itโ€™s the start of a long road and Iโ€™m building something unique to me and my skills. The irony is that my own artworks command similar and greater prices, but Iโ€™ve been so out of that loop of selling my work on the art market that Iโ€™d completely forgotten that aspect of it. Something to raise my floor on! Nonetheless, grateful to be here.

I've been reviewing and trying to better implement the principles from The Science of Scaling. Working to define the 10X goal with an impossible timeline, use time as tool to identify the crux, and raise the floor by doing less of what doesn't get me to the goal. Still a lot of work to do, but pressing forward. Here is my May 1-Page report. If you have yours, please share it. FYI, I still use Chat for the first pass, but Claude makes a much better finished looking report.

Following the great examples of Benjamin Hardy, @Michael Clegg , and @James Stephenson , here's my first monthly report. I hesitated โ€” this exposes some personal struggles โ€” but if I can't be vulnerable here, where can I? This is the group I trust. And yes, I owe you an apology for missing several meetings last month. I miss you all. My focus for June is securing side income while IdaHealth, the startup where I serve as fractional COO, works toward closing its funding round. We have several professors ready to invest, which is encouraging. But I've learned the hard way: it's only real when the money hits our account. This morning, during my daily meditation, I read Matthew 6:25 โ€” "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothes?" Two hours later, I received an email confirming a new project, an additional โ‚ฌ3,000 for June. God provides.

April was a 7/10 overall, with strong momentum on the business development side. โ€ข Three speaking events led to two solid leads, one new client, and a potential third. โ€ข Leadership Squared was integrated into its first Q Works Group client, including a $10,000 down payment to begin the work. โ€ข I kicked off my first cohort of the year and paid down roughly $30,000 of Q Works Group debt. โ€ข May is about more at-bats: two webinars, filling the second cohort, more sales calls, and two conversations with a Fortune 5 organization. โ€ข Theme for May: more focus, more faith, more conversion. How's everyone's year coming along?

@Mike Ludwig Question for you for May. Is your target to work on or to finish your book. If they're both there than "work on" becomes a reason not to finish the book. (And it is now the 19th of May as I write this). ๐Ÿ˜‰
