Becoming Is a Game of Chess: Every Move Matters
Lately, I’ve been thinking about how becoming feels a lot like a game of chess. ♟️ Every move matters. Every decision has consequences. And sometimes the move that looks good in the moment can cost you something valuable later. I’m realizing that growth isn’t always about making the next move. Sometimes it’s about sitting still long enough to understand what’s in front of you. Not every opportunity deserves a yes. Not every situation requires a reaction. And not every person deserves access to the woman you’re becoming. I’m learning that I can’t keep making permanent decisions based on temporary emotions. Some moves require patience. Others require sacrifice. And some require the wisdom to recognize that what’s being offered isn’t worth what it could cost me. Becoming is teaching me to move with discernment, not emotion. Because I’m not just making decisions for the woman I am today. I’m making decisions that will impact the woman I’m becoming and the two little girls watching me become her. 🤍 Here’s a question for my fellow Pushers: Are you learning when to make your next move, or when to sit still and let things unfold?

I am, when making decisions I’ve started asking myself what would Lisa 2.0 do in this situation.
Week 8: Working, Creating, and Building!
This week, I published two posts on Substack, created my Lovable page, continued working on my non-profit organization, and participated on the Testimony Thursday call. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned over these eight weeks is the importance of putting yourself in the right circles and surrounding yourself with the right community. Still thankful and still grateful to be a Purpose Pusher! 💪🏾

Congratulations on your accomplishments! Couldn’t agree more about being in the right community.
Having Faith In the Dark
Now look… I don’t know what’s going on at this point. I don’t know what my tomorrow holds. I think this is by far the most confused I’ve ever been when it comes to my purpose in this world. I be having days where I’m over here crying, laughing, crashing out, super confident, or legit lost in the sauce…. Sometimes all that in one day😂 But in the same token, i’m grateful for every feeling and experience the Lord continuously presents to me. This has been the most intentional I’ve ever been when it comes to figuring out what God has ordained for to do in this world. I’ve reached the point where he’s given me so much love, faith, and confidence that I’m willing to just throw myself out there, even if I may not fit the “ standard”, “qualifications”, “expectations”. To put in short, I don’t care anymore! The worst someone can tell me is no. MY ABBA HAS THE LAST SAY SO IN ANY & EVERYTHING! #WE BALL🤍😂❗️

The crying, laughing, and confidence all in one day is TOO relatable! Keep taking those steps with God, sis, and “hands of the brake”
Transparent moment
I Thank God for leading me to this group! Finally in a space of like-hearted people. In my mind I've been an entrepreneur since I was a kid. After dedicating over 20 years of my life to corporate America, I am finally stepping out on faith and building my brand day by day. It's scary, lonely, confusing, overwhelming and intimidating. God has sent me help though. It's even harder when you feel like your family is falling apart and you give your all to hold it together. Today, I almost walked away from my purpose. I will press my way again tomorrow. Sending love and strength to everyone 🙏

Be encouraged. I resigned from my corporate career of 18 years 8 years ago. It’s been a journey but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Keep pressing.
