How are we doing ?
Hey 👋 How are you? I’ve had an intensely busy couple of days at work ‘the day job’ - with a live event to manage yesterday & catching up on the inbox today. So Skool has been slightly neglected - but I’m hoping to catch up again in the next couple of days & maybe bring my notifications down under 99+ 🤦‍♀️😂 How are you finding the 12 day challenge? Too much? not enough? 🩷 If you celebrate, do you have your Christmas tree up yet? We did that on Sunday 🤩we also put some lights up in our ceiling which the girls LOVE (and so do I!)

@Michaella O'Ven Thanks! :)
The ever-present ‘mum guilt’ crept in!
I was pondering this morning on whether me wanting something for myself during my motherhood season of life makes me ungrateful. And I’ve decided it doesn’t. I can love my kids with my whole heart AND crave purpose, creativity and fulfilment outside of motherhood. It isn’t one or the other. It isn’t kids or ambition. Actually I think they’re connected. A mum who is alive & joyful raises kids who believe joy is normal. A mum who shares her entrepreneurship with her kids, well maybe she’s raising little entrepreneurs? All this to say, if you’re like me & the guilt occasionally seeps through the cracks, push it back down. You deserve this, and your kids will thank you for it 🩷

@Riikka V great question Riikka! I would say that I try to bring things up in the moment. I’ll acknowledge when things are hard but try to not “complain” about it.. like “I need your patience while this takes longer because mommy isn’t feeling well” or, “this is really hard for mom and dad. We’re going to do the best we can but I don’t just want you to know”. I also am sure to enforce my self-care/boundaries.. like “mommy deserves to take a shower in peace” or “mom needs to work out to keep my body healthy so I can take better care of you”. Those are just some examples. But I feel like if we keep the priorities balanced between taking care of them and taking care of ourselves and explaining WHY we need that balance, we teaching them how to think a little more about taking care of others and having their needs met.
Honesty & Co-creation 💕
Hey lovely humans 💛 Quick behind-the-scenes moment from me… I’m deep in building out the first 28-day challenge for us and I want it to be so good that it actually shifts something in your life. Not just another cute tracker, but something that helps you feel clearer, more capable, more you again. And honestly? I’m feeling a tiny bit behind today. I want it all to be there now & looking perfect. But it isn't. So, I’m reminding myself of what I teach: ✨ Momentum isn’t built through perfection - it’s built by showing up, even when it’s messy. So here’s what I’d love from you as I put the final touches on Week 1: What’s the #1 thing you want to FEEL by the end of the challenge? More confident? More organised? More visible? More peaceful? More “in motion”? Something else? Your answers will help me shape this in the most aligned and supportive way for you. Your voice matters here, and I’m building this with you, not just for you. ✨

I think organized as well. I think we all (at least I do!) tend to get so overwhelmed with ideas and then distracted and veer off course. So, I know for me, I need to stay organized with ONE idea/strategy and follow through on it to completion before moving to a different idea/strategy.

Those are great unlocks! Looking forward to checking them out, thank you!
Let’s get to know each other, lovely mamas! 💛
This is our cosy introductions thread - a safe, gentle space to share a tiny piece of who you are and what brought you here. If you feel comfortable, comment below with: 1. Your name (or what you’d like us to call you!) 2. Ages of your little ones 3. What made you join The Mama Income Academy 4. One thing you’d love to have more of in your life (creativity, calm, money, identity, confidence, time, purpose… anything) 5. A fun extra: What’s something you used to love before kids that you’d like to reconnect with? I’ll go first in the comments to break the ice 💗 We’re so glad you’re here - truly. Let’s support each other, cheer each other on, and grow together. Welcome to the Academy. 🌙

@Riikka V We'll get there, Riikka! Maybe this is our cue to plan a date night with our partners ;) something to motivate us to get out of the house and connect with our younger selves for a couple hours!
