Day 4 of the 30-day creator challenge is done.
Today I spent some real time working on the Meditation Kitchen YouTube channel. I updated the description, cleaned a few things up, and started thinking about the next step — organizing the content as the channel begins to grow. When I started this, the idea was simple: cooking. But the truth is, it’s never really just been about cooking. Meditation Kitchen is really about a way of living. Cooking is just the doorway. Food brings people in, but once they are here I want them to discover something deeper — slowing down, living with intention, maybe even discovering a little more peace in their life. So now the challenge for me is figuring out how to start blending those things together on the channel. Cooking videos are the foundation, but I’m also beginning to make videos about the lifestyle around it — meditation, yoga philosophy, and the lessons Cat and I are building inside the School of Yoga Lifestyle. One thing I realized today is I’m going to need playlists soon. The channel is starting to branch out. Something like: - Meditation Kitchen Recipes - Yoga Lifestyle - Cooking Stories from India - Meditation & Mindfulness That way the channel stays organized while still letting the bigger picture unfold. I’m trying not to overthink it this time. Last time I attempted this challenge I got too deep into the details and lost momentum. This time the goal is simple: Keep moving forward. One day at a time. I’d really appreciate some constructive feedback.Take a look at the screenshots of the channel page and description and tell me honestly: - Does the channel make sense when you land on it? - Does it feel like cooking… or something more? - Anything confusing or missing? This is still early, but I can feel the direction starting to come together. Day 4 complete. – Eddi @Dr. Saundra Stancil @Jenny Sharratt @Dajana K. @Jaye Brunner

Day 3 of the 30-Day Creator Challenge is done
This one made me slow down and really think about what this YouTube channel actually is. On the surface it looks like a cooking channel. You see vegetarian dishes, spices, a wok on the stove, and recipes coming together in the kitchen. But the truth is… it’s a little more complicated than that. The cooking is really just the doorway. What I’m actually trying to do is help people improve their lives. To help them slow down, discover themselves, and maybe find a little more happiness through a healthier yogic lifestyle. Food just happens to be the way in. Most people won’t search YouTube for “how to find yourself” or “how to live a yogic life.” But they might search for a vegetarian recipe. So the kitchen becomes the meeting place. Right now I feel like I have the cooking part of the channel pretty well dialed in. That part feels natural to me. What I’m working on now is weaving in the lifestyle side of things — meditation, breathwork, and the mindset behind the way Cat and I try to live. So the channel might start with cooking…but it’s really about something much deeper. It’s about living better. Curious to hear what you all think about that direction. @Dr. Saundra Stancil @Jenny Sharratt @Dajana K. @Jaye Brunner

Day 5 - Build Your Simple Studio Setup - DONE!!
What I have learned since joining this group and going through the CBS in December, made this one a breeze! My big AAH. HAAA was the question "Will you Export in 1080p or 4k and why". Clueless, was my answer! I just use whatever CapCut recommends! I actually had to export a video to see what they recommend - 1080p was the setting. I did change the setting to 4k so I would have a video in 4k to compare my other videos. With that I will see you all on Day 6! @Dr. Saundra Stancil @Jenny Sharratt @Eddi Pinegar @Adam Tinkoff @Dajana K. Thank you Cheering squad, your inputs are helpful!

I may be a small channel with only 41 subscribers, but comments like the one I just received make the effort worth it. This comment made my day as I continue working on my next upload😊

Starting the 30-Day Creator Challenge (Again… But Different This Time)
Well… here we go. I’m starting the 30-Day Creator Challenge for YouTube. And yes — I’ve tried this before. And no — I didn’t finish it. Last time I got too involved. I overthought it. I tried to upgrade everything at once. Better thumbnails. Better hooks. Better strategy. Better lighting. Better everything. Instead of just following the plan, I tried to redesign the whole system. Classic me. I wasn’t lacking motivation — I was lacking focus. This time feels different. Today I finished Day 1.Simple. Done. Posted. And that’s the commitment:Post something every day. Not perfect. Not revolutionary. Just consistent. What makes this challenge interesting for me is that it’s forcing me to really look at direction. My channel isn’t just “content.” It’s connected to our bigger vision — helping people find a blissful yoga lifestyle and eventually guiding them toward our Skool community. That’s where it gets complicated. Am I making videos to get views?Or to attract the right people?Am I teaching? Inspiring? Experimenting? Entertaining? Honestly… I’m still figuring that out. But maybe that’s the point. Maybe the 30 days isn’t about growth hacks.Maybe it’s about clarity. One day at a time. One post at a time. Less reinventing the wheel.More actually turning it. Let’s see what happens. Thanks @Dr. Saundra Stancil @Jenny Sharratt @Dajana K.@Jaye Brunner

@Dr. Saundra Stancil For a long time now Cat and I have been working on something that feels bigger than just a YouTube channel. Meditation Kitchen started as a simple idea — cooking food we love, sharing stories, and talking about the lifestyle that has shaped our lives. But the more we do it, the more we realize the channel is really just the doorway. The deeper part of what we’re building lives in our Skool community, the Yoga Lifestyle Skool. YouTube lets people see what we do. The cooking, the experiments, the laughs, the occasional chaos in the kitchen. It’s the fun part and the creative part. But the Skool is where we really slow things down and talk about the lifestyle behind it all — yoga, philosophy, daily practices, food, and what it actually means to try to live a more conscious life. We’re not trying to be gurus or pretend we have everything figured out. Most days Cat and I are just figuring it out as we go. Cooking something new, learning something new, sometimes making a mess of both. But that’s kind of the point. Meditation Kitchen is where people can discover us. Yoga Lifestyle Skool is where people can go deeper if they want to. It’s a place for conversations, lessons, community, and people who are curious about living a little differently. A little slower. Maybe a little more intentionally. If the videos resonate with you, that’s awesome. If they make you hungry, even better. And if they make you curious about the bigger lifestyle behind it all… that’s exactly why the Skool exists.
