Because the glove handles the impact, your fingers don't send the necessary signals to your brain. Over time, your fingers actually get weaker and weaker because they rely on the gear to do the work. When you wear non-finger save gloves, the millisecond the ball hits your hand and forces your fingers back, your brain instantly sends a signal to tense and react. That micro-reaction naturally strengthens your hand and finger joints session after session. Without that millisecond movement sent to the brain, the fingers never get properly conditioned.
