@Rebecca Paciorek same. I read during my breaks at work and it keeps me sane. But I guess I could go for a walk???

I finished some of the chapter 4 tasks today because I thought it would help distract me from worrying about my daughter. Writing those letters to myself was REALLY hard and very emotional. I also decided to do the “low self worth clothing” task. I actually really like all of my clothes and I did a closet purge in March during my spring cleaning madness. But I DEFINITELY have a pair of low self esteem shoes that I wear to work. They are a pair of old worn out keds and I drag my feet when I wear them. In reflection, I realized I wear them because I don’t feel proud of my job. It’s certainly not what I hoped I would be doing. But this job pays me well and allows me to take care of my kids and have health insurance and a retirement fund. I should take more pride in my accomplishments. It’s a good job. I decided to order a new pair of work shoes on amazon and the come on Monday
🥰 Introduce Yourself 👋
I’m so happy to see new faces. Feel free to create an introduction post and tell us about you and your writing goals. For me, I have several works in progress. I would love to at least finish one this year, even if it’s just my 10 Steps book.

I’m so happy that the spring weather is FINALLY here! My April goals are: 1. Backstories for Live Oak, Sweetgum, and Hemlock. Discuss Nature vs. Nurture, Good vs. Evil, and the role of epigenetic gene silencing on what we become. 2. April 12th is Creative Craft Club. I want to work on my website more 3. April 13th is my call with Rebecca. I want to plan the marketing and launch for Dandelion for May 2027. 4. April 17-19 I will be in Richmond for the Self Editing conference! I just want to learn as much as I can and network with other writers. I also plan to visit the world famous art museum while I’m there and bring home one poster for my living room as a souvenir. We also get a tour of the botanical gardens!!! 5. Chapter 4 of The Artist’s Way- Recovering a Sense of Integrity. I can finally sit out on my reading patio and enjoy it. One of the tasks for this month is an extended artist date so I am counting my trip to the art museum. 6. Getting more exercise. I’m stuck at a plateau right now and feeling down about it. I’m trying to remind myself that it’s good that I haven’t regained any weight that I lost, but I need to find a way to get unstuck and lose more.
Artist Dates
Hi friends, Would it be helpful to have this thread to share artist dates and ideas for artist dates? @Lisa David found this article with some great ideas. I'm putting it here and I will put my last couple dates below to share my ideas and what I'm doing. https://www.stephaniescott.art/brushwork/2023/7/4/108-artist-date-ideas

@Rebecca Paciorek it was so fun, they had all the supplies at the art museum. It was foil paper that you can draw a design on with a wooden stick. I put them with my LEGO poinsettia and the ceramic house I painted with my older daughter when I moved here because I miss her and my home in Florida
