I hope everyone had a great Christmas (if you celebrate)! For some of us, today is Boxing Day and a welcome day of rest and relaxation with the family. My 6 yo asked this morning why it's called Boxing Day, which resulted in a huge debate about the origins of the holiday. In a day and age when answers are so easily found online, it was kind of nice to sit and argue about all of our personal preconceived notions about the holiday... For those of you who are new (and there are a lot of you!) we are so glad that you are joining us! Since the main community is for promoting your own personal groups and services, we like to take Friday to look outward and share about the communities of others that we think are particularly beneficial and that others would like to know about. Exactly a week ago, I was more than a little freaking out because our sweet little group managed to win the Skool Games. This was a DREAM come true!!!! One of the ways it happened was from being able to share our community. In fact, posts in here were a huge help in the mix!!! Separate from having a lovely group + offer, the three things that helped the most (by far) were: 1. Shares in this group 2. Shares in another group that also allows advertising 3. I don't really want to do this because I'm not 100% sure I care about a star. I mean, I'm a competitive person, so I'm always going to strive for the star in life, but for my business, I try really hard to focus only on what truly matters - getting amazing results for my students/clients/members. Having said that, we are soooooo close to getting a star (top 30 in your category), that it would kind of be a shame to not do a final push for the top!!! So, if you are so inclined, please share a comment below and let's see if we can pull together as a team. I added Buy Me A Chai a while back inside my Mockup community just for fun. I’m not using it to “monetize” anything… I’m using it to see how members show appreciation in their own way. And yes, I have had members take advantage of it. Some people say thank you in comments. Some say it through activity. Some like having a little button that feels like… “Hey… thanks for the space.” A virtual tip jar.
