🎉 Won an affiliate right after making a Pin!
I was pinning Pins for the Pinterest Games and this one went really fast. Within 20mins after I pinned a Pin for a community, I got an email about a new affiliate 🎉🎉 It was only 3,8 dollar but seeing things work is worth so much more 🤩 Anyone here that also joining the Pinterest Games in Pinterest Skool? If you're not.. why not 😅

Congratulations! Those wins feel awesome.... and they add up!
I'm stumped
I have Discovery turned off and I just got a new member request from the Skool Network. 1. How? 2. Will this cost me anything? Maybe they found me organically on Google and Skool gets the attribution?

@Mindy Molein so with Discovery and Growth Boost turned off, it's still tracked as a Skool Network source but not $ attribution. So there is no commission generated to Skool, it's 100% to the community owner? If so is this written anywhere?

Was it a Paid Member or Free? @Jeff Baer I hear you on attribution. Unfortunately, attribution and tracking are interlinked, so we just have to know the conditions and then can find the best use cases and how to link, share and refer. ALSO: For those who don't know about affiliate tracking, there are essentially only two main types of attribution: 1st Touch and Last Touch. Both have best use cases... and a system generally picks one, not a hybrid (hybrids are programmatically challenging) I tend to set up new affiliate programs for clients as 1st touch and then over time convert to last-touch. Last touch is prone to errors or problems. However, as an affiliate, if you recognise that you can't get all of your referrals all of the time, and the 80/20 rule essentially applies - and we haven't touched the whole "cookie" thing.... We know Skool is generally looking after us.... however, even the biggest companies do cross the line, the example is latest BIG affiliate rort by PayPal's Honey extension...

Whilst there is a help file on Affiliating.... it's not very deep or nuanced. So... Q1. Where is the best place to ask questions about being a pure affiliate in Skool. Q2: Knowing Skools attribution system isn't clear always, & it's last link [referrer] attribution, if i were to bring a member in on Free Level and then for some reason they upgrade later after another referal links is click/used [or Skool grabs them], are they locked into my referral [and hence my referral commission] or does the new link get the referral? Q3. If they are locked in for future upgrades is there a time limit [cookie] assigned? Q4: Who is the GOAT for being Skool Affiliate (focussed)?

@Jeff Baer localised & personalised searches... algo. as you can see she's well fatured in my results. SK + YT + Long Tail Kepwords connects nicely. YT wins again. Maybe Pinterest? @Mindy Molein
I joined a new community..
Yesterday I joined a new community. When I woke up this morning, I saw I was accepted and I've got an automated welcome DM. A looooooong welcome DM. Like a chapter of a book with all instruction what I 'asap' needed to do and what I need to all click. My curiosity was triggered 😅 Having a look at the community, there is no Pinned Post to welcome anyone. So I hopped over t the classroom.. All classrooms were locked for Premium members. ALL of them. Never felt more welcome 🤔 How do you want to be welcomed in a new community? What is the ideal set up to make you feel welcome?

I can see that you are less than impressed with this particular arrangement. However, does it work for them? We've grown accustomed to a standard operating procedure (SOP) for welcoming guests on skool. Most communities conform to that, maybe because tried and tested, it works. However, maybe doing something different creates a standout, or this particular community has experience that it doesn't work, or naively doing the process. i'd like to think that whatever they did, and for whatever reason they did it consciously. One thing is 100% clear: it got us talking about it. So in one sense, it's working. I do like your idea... lurk 1st, respond without pressure. I find the ""You MUST introduce yourself immediately" process a little pushy, I do it when i HAVE to, prefer as you @Mindy Molein say rather site back and watch...
