Herbalist?
Great fun, talking with @Alyson Sheldrake this morning, as ever, looking at the November Snapshot (get yours here), especially trying my Sean Connery out with @Ian Turner's GOD Squad tip of the day 🤣💪💩 Aly kindly recommended a herbalist in passing, who's helped her with Rheumatoid Arthritis symptoms. She's called Daisy Mae - her website email: dmbalance@gmail.com

Potatoes
What type of potatoes are commonly used in Portugal? When I was there, I noticed that the fries were more yellow than they are in the United States, where they are a light beige. I suspect it is a different type of potato than the Russet potato commonly used in the United States. Can anyone confirm this? I attached a picture of what the fries look like.

Coming from the home of the sweet potato I'm adding a huge shout out for batata doce ... absolutely love them!
Q&A
@Barak Zable, I have brought these over here... From YouTube: What is not discussed is the normal things of everyday life. If you have a fireplace in your home where do you get firewood? Is there someone who sells it? Go across the street and cut it down? Have it delivered? How about finding someone to do some house keeping, cleaning a pool or gardening? Is there a directory? a bulletin board? or is it by word of mouth ( in a language we can't understand yet). :) Just a few questions we may have.

We always pay a little more and buy azinho (Holm oak) It burns more slowly and hotter. We order 'uma tonelada' at a time to be delivered. The best companies also stack it for us in our wood store! Also learn the word 'aparas' which means kindling!
'Learn about Portugal' Quiz (Friday, 30th June, 2023)
Which Portuguese town boasts this extraordinary 'roll call' or maybe 'rap sheet' of supernatural phenomena? - A "cabbage that produces green carnations" - An ear of "corn with 20 cobs (normally four or five)" - A "tree with three different kinds of fruit" - A "white blackbird" - A "cabbage (Galician) four meters high" - A "ram with four horns" - A "phenomenal turnip"; a "watermelon", "lemon" and "fava bean pod" all of "abnormal dimensions" (a green bean measuring 50 centimeters, when normal "around 15 centimeters") - A "giant pumpkin" - A "chicken egg that looked like an ostrich's" - A "chick with three legs" - and, finally, a "giant cactus, the height of a two-story house" Please make your best guess, and maybe a plan to avoid the place (depending on your openness to the weird and wonderful), in the comments...
