SOP: Homework Submission
Homework Submission SOP — Read Carefully
Going forward, all homework submissions must follow a standardized process.
Why?
Because random DMs, random screenshots, random questions, and scattered conversations create chaos, inconsistency, and wasted time for everyone involved.
This apprenticeship needs structure, repetition,
accountability, and organized communication.
The goal is not just to “consume content.”
The goal is for you to:
  • interpret information,
  • explain concepts back in your own words,
  • identify where your understanding breaks down,
  • and develop the ability to think independently.
That is why all homework submissions must be done through Loom videos.
If you truly understand a module, you should be able to:
  • explain it,
  • recreate it,
  • apply it,
  • or ask intelligent questions about the parts you do not understand.
If there is a specific homework assignment, complete it to the best of your ability.
If there is no explicit assignment, your task is to teach the lesson back yourself in a Loom video to demonstrate understanding.
If you are confused, then your Loom video should clearly explain:
  • what you attempted,
  • what you understood,
  • where you got lost,
  • and what specific questions you have.
All submissions must be posted in the SOS channel using the following naming convention:
Homework Submission: @YourName | Module # | Lesson #
Example:Homework Submission: @BrianN | Module 2 | Lesson 4
Why Loom?
Because Loom allows timestamped feedback directly inside your video. That means I can pause at exact moments, respond to exact mistakes, and give highly targeted corrections instead of vague general feedback.
Homework Review Room:2:00 PM – 2:30 PM EST
That is the designated review period.
I will primarily be reviewing submissions posted within the last 24 hours.
This means you must become disciplined and consistent with your submission timing as well. Do not expect random reviews at random times of day.
This system exists for a reason:
  • cleaner communication,
  • faster feedback,
  • clearer corrections,
  • more accountability,
  • better learning retention,
  • and stronger independent thinking.
This is an apprenticeship — not passive content consumption.
Do the work.
Show your thinking.
Ask better questions.
Apply the feedback.
Repeat.
