The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. On this day we remember when God bonded the divide between heaven and earth by coming as a man, living the life we couldn’t live and dying the death we deserve. It’s because of this gift that all who believe in him can have everlasting life.
