Biggest Struggle
When it comes to playing with others or playing live, what is your biggest fear or challenge?
Intro
Hello, and blessings in Jesus Christ's Name! Thanks for admitting me to the group. I'm an Apostolic Pentecostal singer, composer, and playwright, now living in the micro-community of Versailles, Missouri. I've struggled with sharing for years but realize time is growing short and God is always strong, so I've just got to start (as Steven Curtis Chapman would say) "diving in." Some of my current projects are "Traveling Down Life's Highway," a series of songs based with permission on my grandmother's poetry from her two published books; and "Christmas with Jacob Marley: A New Take on Dickens' Christmas Carol," a play in progress that I was hoping to complete in time for churches and Christian schools to use this year, but will probably have to wait for next year by the time it's finished. I'm looking forward to worshiping and learning with you all!

Introduction
Hi everyone. My name is Sal and I'm looking forward to learning how to play worship music and join a worship team in the near future. I first picked up a guitar many moons ago. I began learning on a nylon acoustic and transitioned too electric. Learned some rock, alternative and then began growing an interest in learning classical guitar. After a few years of playing in my room, an old friend invited me to play in a band. I played for 3 years and that was the last time I played in a group setting. (25 years ago). It was a great experience. The only bad thing that came from it is that I lost my touch and classical style and picked up a different style of playing (modern rock) and somehow this style engraved in my brain, and I've always had a challenge shaking if off. Basically, stuck in one strumming pattern and style and never learned how to play lead guitar or different styles. The blessings that came out of it. One of my daughters learned to play and sing. After playing solo for a few years and a band for a very short period of time she found a new passion for worship music. She joined a local worship team at a local church solely as a singer and she is amazing at it. The second blessing is that my Son (Teenager) learned how to play drums and has now been playing for 5 years and joined a band 2.5 years ago and is pretty amazing at it. Now back to me, somehow incorporated doubt in my ability to play in a group setting, a bit reserved/shy in getting on stage again, and often get lost in trying to do to many things. So here I am, surrendering and going back to the basics. I'd love to learn worship music, learn to sing and praise. Thank you for the opportunity of having me in the community and the opportunity to learn.
