Do You Hear The Damacus Cry Iron Forge San Antonio?
I'm wondering if anyone sees these posts. My heart is hurting. I can't really share this on Facebook, but I feel safe to write this here. I was at the streets last night checking on the TwilightTreasures. It's been a minute since I last went. This one young girl, I'll call her Maria, was out. I hadn't seen her in years. I've known her since she was 22. Yes, she was out there since then. She is now 31. When I first met her, she was young, no marks on her body, white teeth, short, petite, long healthy vibrant hair. Yet, addicted and walking the streets. Fast forward 8 years later. I'm in my 4runner coming home from work. My boss called me, asking me to check something out on the way home. After I checked on what she wanted me to check on, I felt the urge to go down Roosevelt. My husband and I had been checking on Roosevelt and S. Presa, but the girls were not out. I figured there was a round up and they were all locked up. But no...there she was as I was driving by. Short, petite, hair in a pony tail. She was in nothing but sweats and a grey bra that barely fit. Her entire upper teeth were gone. She saw me as I drove by. I saw her. I waved and she waved back. She was walking up one side of the road a couple of blocks just to cross the street to walk down the opposite side. All while her old man was watching from the front porch of the drug house I pulled next to. I had Genevieve's Purses with me, named after one the Treaaures brutally murdered in March 2025 by the Southside Serial Killer. She wanted help. But by the time I could get to her. She was already found. That's another story. She immediately came over to me and gave me the biggest hug. She had tears in her eyes. Where have you been? I haven't seen you in a long time. We talked. She just had a baby 3 months ago. Her mom had the baby. However, it's her addiction she couldn't get away from. Her addiction to Climax that has her on the streets doing what she's doing. "When was the last time you ate?"
