Genesis 12:18 (KJV):
“And Pharaoh called Abram and said, What is this that thou hast done unto me? why didst thou not tell me that she was thy wife?”
Prayer on Genesis 12 & 18
Heavenly Father,
I thank You for the lessons found in Genesis 12. You called Abram to leave his country and follow You into the unknown, promising blessing, protection, and a future. Yet in his fear, he stumbled and misled Pharaoh about Sarai, causing confusion and harm.
Lord, I see myself in Abram, sometimes strong in faith, other times faltering in fear. I pray for the courage to trust You completely, even when circumstances feel uncertain. Guard me from relying on my own schemes for safety, and instead remind me that Your promises are sure and Your protection is greater than anything I can secure for myself.
As Pharaoh confronted Abram in Genesis 12:18, teach me the importance of integrity and honesty. May my words and actions align with truth, so that I never misrepresent myself or You. Help me to walk in faith, not fear; in truth, not deception; in trust, not control.
Father, just as You preserved Abram and Sarai, preserve me and my household. Cover us with Your mercy when we falter, and lead us in paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake. Let my journey of faith be marked not by my mistakes, but by Your grace and faithfulness.
In Jesus name, Amen. 🙏🏽
