UNTAPPED live music gigs 👀
Right now I’m talking to a restaurant in Detroit that is interested in lunchtime live music. 🤯👀 YES. we can pitch these ideas and guess what? It’s gonna work for a few places. Who cares if it’s $150 for 12-3pm? Now your Wednesday evening gig that’s $350 becomes part of a $500 day. It only takes 4 $500 days a week to make $100k a year. So hey, do you need some motivation? I bet you have grocery stores, weed dispensaries, cafes, or just regular restaurants and bars that are open during lunch. PITCH THEM LIVE LUNCH MUSIC!! I think this has huge potential. I’m a parent. If I’m not working, I’m fricken HOME my friend. But hey, lunch with the fam, or to catch up with a friend?? Count me in. I do that way more than ever going out at night.
We can do more!
This is your friendly reminder that if you aren’t as booked as you want, do some serious venue contacting this weekend and follow through into next - take a drive to some spots, have one drink at 3 different bars, leave your card, try and talk to a manager, it’s a great time to start up music on a night that they don’t have it yet. Revisit the same spots. Persistence is all it takes sometimes, and they get to know you better. Send some Instagram and Facebook DMs, google top rated bars in your area and don’t stop until your Monday - Wednesday is booked. If you can do that (which you can) Thursday - Saturday is the easy part. Even if to start it’s $200 Monday $200 Tuesday $250 Wednesday. That’s $33,800 a year. Those are incredibly reasonable numbers for venues. A table of 4 pays for you. And then your music keeps everyone else around for another beer. Boom. That’s why music works. Maybe you make $20 in tips each night. There’s your weekly gas! Keep at it ya’ll it takes time but it’s worth it 😎🤙🏼 I didn’t see my prices at restaurants move up into the $300-400+ area until I was STACKED with $250 gigs Tuesday - Sunday. THENNN I was able to start saying hey, can you bump me up? ORR new venues who inquired about me doing a night, I could say, “I’d love to but so and so is paying me $250 and it’s close to my house” “Oh well we can do $350?” That’s the most common way I’ve been able to creep up in value right there

What should I make a video on?
Everyone is so different, I’d love to know some topics you’re all wondering about? What are you trying to overcome at the moment, and If you had a magic gig genie, what would you task him with for the next two months? 👀🤙🏼
Welcome Aaron! 🤙🏼
@Aaron Johnson Thanks for joining! How much are you gigging live (if at all) and what cities or towns are in your relative area? 👀 Tell us about your studio too! You own with your wife?
Introduction!
Hey everyone! I jus joined the group. I'm super excited to learn and grow in my ability to make a livable income from performing live. My wife and I are based in Wixom, MI right now. But we own and operate a recording studio in Farmington Hills, MI and have been really just wanting to help creatives like us to get their ideas professionally captured and released. I've struggled for a long time trying to figure out a way to make a living doing music because I know that I can't do anything else and don't want to, so when my wife sent me this link I was filled with hope! Looking forward to the journey and learning together!
