Turn Documents Into Podcasts With Google’s Audio Overview

Google’s NotebookLM has introduced a new "Audio Overview" feature that transforms documents, slides, and charts into engaging audio discussions. Two AI hosts summarize your sources, connect key ideas, and even add casual banter. This feature offers a fresh, interactive way to review and understand complex material, ideal for study guides or briefings.

Key features of Audio Overview:

Converts documents into podcast-like audio summaries.
Conversational AI hosts summarize and connect topics.
Supports PDFs, text files, and web URLs.
Audio files can be downloaded for offline listening.

To try out the Audio Overview feature, follow these steps:

Open NotebookLM.
Create a new notebook.
Upload at least one source (PDF, text file, or web URL).
In the Notebook guide, click the “Generate” button to create an Audio Overview.
