Are Food Channels The First Vertical To "De-Beast"?
Last month Nick Digiovanni launches Nicks Kitchen, a bare-bones back to basics cooking/recipes channel that's highly stylized and way more grounded than his main channel. His audience LOVES it and it's performing super well for him.
Come today and Joshua Weissman announces Joshua Weissman Recipes, a bare-bones back to basics cooking/recipes channel that's highly stylized and way more grounded than his main channel. Jury is still out on performance for him.
Are food audiences hungry for a return to basics? Or are these channels feeding a separate niche that's been abandoned on YouTube, the cooking tutorial viewers?
It'll be interesting to see this trend progress and evolve!
Anyone have any guesses on who might be next to launch something like this? Guga Foods? Gordon Ramsay?
