FAQs: Livestreaming
Hi everyone, thought I'd drop a FAQ post in the general discussion thread. Have questions of your own? Drop them in the comments
Q: Why are people afraid to go live?
A: Most people aren't afraid of technology. They're afraid of being judged.
Common concerns include:
  • "I'm not ready."
  • "I don't like being on camera."
  • "I don't know what to say."
  • "What if nobody attends?"
Q: Is expensive equipment necessary to start livestreaming? No.
A: Good audio helps, but confidence is more important than gear.
Your audience will forgive imperfect equipment.
They won't forgive lack of authenticity.
Focus on presence, your next highest priority will be audio. You can sound great at a reasonable price. Ask , she landed a fabulous deal and we got to hear her test it out on Social audio sound check.
Q: How can I build confidence as a livestream host?
Start small.
Practice in safe environments.
Focus on conversation instead of performance.
Build repetition.
Confidence comes from taking action, not waiting until you feel ready
