When I meet someone new, I always ask two things:
(1) What are you passionate about?
(2) What are your favorites places in this city?
It's amazing what you learn about someone when you watch them contemplate the questions, realize they hadn't considered it before, and then slightly struggle to find an answer. It's even more amazing to watch them come back to me at a later time, with an answer...as if the questions I posed lingered in their thought process. It's a subtle honor for me when I learn that my words resonated to such a degree that they linger intangibly within someone.
What are you passionate about? What are your favorite places to visit in the city you live in? I'd like to know.
