7 day free trial vs free to paid skool

Im getting my academy ready ( mega tutorials on fb monetization programs, virality on demand, Skool, social selling etc...I cannot decide if i should do a 7 day free trial as a lead magnet or if entering credit card information will deter people from signing up and some people may even give me criticism for saying somethings free but they still have to enter there cc info (even though i know this is a smart move on skools part)

I want a private community for my low ticket mrr affiliate sub but I am torn...If i did a free community I could see more people joining because there is less friction for them but I would imagine scammers will be annoying and focusing on 2 communities seems like alot of work rn.....

What do you guys think?
