How deep do you go,
do you even know
in the mirror - who do you see
that mask that you wear
to pretend you don’t care
Is the prison that stops you being free
Those pushed down emotions,
And held back notions
Are the reasons you cannot find peace
It’s all too consuming
your self abusing
Time to let your punishment cease
it’s a cycle of pain
that needs someone to blame ,
and that someone always ends up being you
learn to love from within
let your healing begin
You deserve the best version of you
You have so much to give,
A whole life to live
it’s too precious to hide it away
Sing from your soul
Let yourself be whole
Free yourself - starting today
it’s you that must change
I know that you’re scared,
So ask yourself - What do you choose ?
A life you don’t want ?
People you don’t like ?
Is that what your worried you’ll lose !
