Welcome to Writing Fire! ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Hello, brave writer.
I'm so happy you've found your way here.
Writing Fire was born from a deep belief that writing is far more than a creative practice โ€” it is a transformational one.
Writing helps us hear ourselves. It helps us tell the truth. It helps us remember who we are. It helps us make meaning from the wild, beautiful, heartbreaking, astonishing experience of being alive.
For many years, I have gathered people in circles โ€” online, in classrooms, in living rooms, around retreat tables, beside rivers, and around literal fire โ€” to write, reflect, witness one another, and transform.
This community is an extension of that sacred circle.
A place for writers, seekers, storytellers, recovering perfectionists, deep feelers, creative explorers, and anyone longing for a truer relationship with their own voice.
You do not need to call yourself a writer to belong here. You do not need to be polished. You do not need to be productive. You do not need to know what your "big project" is. You only need willingness, curiosity, and courage.
Some people will come here to work on memoir. Some to process change. Some to reconnect with creativity. Some to listen for what their deeper self has been trying to say. Some to experience the alchemical transformation of turning pain into art.
All of that belongs.
A few things matter deeply here:
๐Ÿ”ฅ We practice strength-based witnessing and feedback.
๐Ÿ”ฅ We honor confidentiality and emotional safety.
๐Ÿ”ฅ We value truth over performance.
๐Ÿ”ฅ We encourage brave honesty, while honoring intuition, boundaries, and self-care.
๐Ÿ”ฅ We believe creativity can be both playful and profound.
This is not a place to be perfect. This is a place to be real.
If you've just arrived, here's how to begin ๐ŸŒฟ
1. Watch this quick 'How To' video from Lauren She'll walk you through the space and show you how to find your way around. https://www.loom.com/share/8778b4b1c6d145e481c12b3f88cbdd92
2. Read the Community Agreements This helps us create a space that feels warm, brave, supportive, and creatively alive. ๐Ÿ‘‰ Community Agreements
3. Introduce Yourself Head to The Hearth, our welcome circle, and tell us:
โœจ Your name
โœจ Where you are in the world
โœจ What kind of writing calls to you (memoir, journaling, poetry, storytelling, processing, all of it?)
โœจ What brought you here
โœจ Your favorite magic word!
4. Feel into what writing you want to share with this sacred community?
Writing Fire is a safe space to share our darkness, our light, the and full rainbow spectrum of our multi-dimensional beings! Let's share our poems, our prayers, our mantras and affirmations, our meditations, our slice of life revelations, our stranger than fiction micro-nonfiction, the postcards from our ancestors, our healing letters to our inner children, the channeled conversations between our higher selves and the goddess....any of the many ways writing acts as living transformation.
And if you're not quite ready to post? That's welcome too. You are allowed to arrive slowly. You are allowed to be you.
Also, pease consider keeping to 1โ€“2 posts per day so your writing doesn't get lost in the feed. We want everyone to have the chance to be seen โ€” and to see others โ€” without anyone feeling overwhelmed.
5. Try Your First Prompt No pressure to share โ€” but you're warmly invited. ๐Ÿ‘‰ First Prompt here!
6. Explore the Space Inside Writing Fire you'll find:

And more to come.
A few gentle reminders ๐Ÿ’œ
๐Ÿ’œ You do not need to keep up.
๐Ÿ’œ You do not need to be brilliant.
๐Ÿ’œ You do not need to post immediately.
๐Ÿ’œ Reading counts.
๐Ÿ’œ Listening counts.
๐Ÿ’œ Showing up imperfectly counts.
โ—๏ธ A note on maintaining a safe, sacred, and all-inclusive
We love that you're here to share. A few things to keep in mind as you do:
Please use a content note at the top of any post that touches on potentially triggering material, including:

  • Abuse: physical, emotional, psychological, sexual assault, or child abuse
