I’ve seen authors try 20 different strategies, ads, reels, newsletters, TikTok, giveaways… and still feel like their book is invisible. But here’s the thing: 👉 If you can’t explain what your book actually offers a reader in 1–2 sentences that spark curiosity and connection… 👉 If your blurb feels “meh” even to you… 👉 If your hook sounds just like everyone else’s… …then no amount of promotion will save it. Here’s a dead simple question that always helps me (and a few author friends) fix this fast: “Why would a complete stranger care about this story?" Not your friends. Not people who write in your genre. A cold reader. One you’ve never met. When you answer that honestly, the fog starts to lift. 💬 What’s your answer to that question, why would someone who doesn’t know you at all care about your book? As a quiet force behind dozens of indie successes, she poured her heart into helping authors get seen. She promoted their work like it was her own.
