New poetry collection Because the Sun Would Not Move releases January 2026 from Red Thread Publishing.
There are writers who craft poems, and then there are poets whose lives insist on being written. Stacy Dyson is, unquestionably, the latter.
A four-time Red Thread author, lifelong creator, and truth-teller to the bone, Stacy’s newest collection, Because the Sun Would Not Move, is a fierce, unflinching, deeply human exploration of movement, loss, survival, and the quiet constancies that keep us tethered when life won’t stop shifting under our feet.
And like all her books, this one wasn’t optional. “It’s because I had to,” she says. “Things were happening and I couldn’t keep it to myself or I was going to blow up.”
