I enjoy all the new experiences I have had in puppetry. I am very slow and have never carved wood before. I like learning about wood and the grain. I have never sharpened knives before but now know the value of keeping the knives sharp. The group is wonderful, and I learn lots from their artistic endeavours. I am so pleased that I found this group and took up again an old interest in puppets. Thank you to everyone, especially Bernd, who is a wonderful teacher.

When I was about 16, I wanted to study set design (for puppet theater). Back then, I would never have dared to try building puppets myself, as I lacked the necessary skills and resources. Now I am 60 years old and have the opportunity to pursue this passion without the pressure to bei succeed.
