I started this space because too many talented people are trying to build creative lives in isolation.
People from towns that get overlooked. People balancing art with work, exhaustion, care, money stress, self-doubt, and everything else real life throws at you. People without industry connections, family wealth, or a clear route into the arts world.
A lot of creative spaces online feel performative. Either hyper-professional and gatekept, or full of empty motivation and “content creator” noise.
I wanted something different.
This community is for writers, artists, performers, freelancers, organisers, and cultural workers who are serious about their practice and want to build something sustainable over time.
Inside the group we’ll be sharing:
– funding and opportunity alerts
– support with applications, bios, statements, and proposals
– accountability and writing sessions
– discussions around class, culture, identity, and place
– practical advice on surviving creatively and financially
– feedback, collaboration, and peer support
You do not need to have everything figured out to be here.
You might be:
– applying for your first commission
– trying to finish a project
– rebuilding confidence creatively
– developing a public or community arts practice
– figuring out how to take your work seriously
That’s fine. That’s what this space is for.
The goal is simple: help each other grow, stay consistent, and remain creatively alive without pretending to be something we’re not.
Introduce yourself below: Who are you, where are you from, and what kind of creative work are you trying to build?
