Thankful to be able to share my thoughts with my department based on today's reading from the Acts of Apostles.
What really touches my heart about Acts 4:32โ€“37 is how the believers were all on the same page. Their faith was not just words; it was also shown in how they cared for, shared with, and carried each other.
As a wife, mother, nurse, and sister in Christ, I know that unity isn't necessarily big or spectacular. It's often built on small, everyday choices, like being patient when you're weary, being kind when you're worried, and being understanding when it would be simpler to react.
Sometimes, when you're with your family, at work, or in ministry, everyone has hidden burdens. This text makes me think that God's love flows more easily through us when we have open hearts instead of guarded ones.
It also goes well with this month's sharing from Philippians 2:3โ€“4 about being thoughtful and putting others before ourselves. People are often thoughtful in modest ways. I remember occasions when someone just checked in on me during a busy time, brought me coffee without asking, wrote me a nice message, or helped me without wanting to be thanked. Those acts may have seemed minor to others, but they were huge blessings to me because they made me feel seen, recognised, and cared about. ๐ŸŒท As a healthcare professional who often cares for others, I know how powerful it is when someone cares about the person who is caring for them.
I think the Lord is telling me today that we may not always have tremendous resources or big chances, but we can always be thoughtful. A kind word, a listening ear, a helpful hand, or even just observing that someone is having a hard time can be God's answer to their request. We should choose unity over division, humility over pride, and thinking over self-interest, since often the tiniest acts of love have the biggest effects. โœจ๐Ÿ’–
