Hello fellow woodshop friends. Looking forward to seeing all your projects and getting inspired. My father was a hobby woodworker and built furniture, shelves, toys, and all sorts of trinkets. I remember going around to craft fairs when I was young and I still have some furniture and other things my dad built. As I became an adult I never imagined I would pick up the craft, but a few years ago started helping build scenery for theatrical productions at my son’s school. Now, I’m building up my repository of tools and building sets for community theaters. Here are a few things me and some friends have created together this year. We’re hoping to turn it into a side business and eventually make it a full time thing!

I recently started woodworking and this is my first half garage/shop picture with basically two portable horse/work tables and not many tools. Working on my first project a shoe bench, however, my wife had other ideas for it.

I am from the Austin / San Antonio Texas corridor. I am a beginner that started around 6 months ago and have done a few builds. Thank you for accepting me in this wonderful community. Good morning. Name is Vick and I've been looking for a community for some time. Happy to be here. My grandfather was a construction worker and I used to help him out when I was a kid. That's right: child labor! 🤣 I don't think anyone else in the family has taken up woodworking so I am the first. My father said to me "Learn to do one thing extremely well. For everything else you can pay." Well, I got tired of paying for shoddy work. Bought a new house 13 years ago and have been learning and modding ever since.
