While away a little over 7 days, a plant that has been with me for about a year has had little if any growth visible to me. Upon returning from my trip, a huge bright green sprout was towering above the other branches. A look closer and there were at least two smaller sprouts coming! 😁 Throughout the year, Ive moved, watered, and spoken kind encouraging words to Gwendolyn Green, my plant. In a year, plants and trees have taught me many lessons. Like, swaying can be a good thing. Swaying gently can be soothing and calming to the soul. Also, dead plants can provide food for the living. The fertilizer of the dead plant and/or tree as it returns to whence it came leaves behind a gift of nourishment. A chance for another plant, tree, or animal to have a healthy vibrant life.
The lesson: growth is slow and not always immediately visible.
Im thrilled and thankful for this season of life. I hope this provides you with encouragement and inspiration. Have you explored and experienced lessons from nature?
