Objective: Take one of your old, basic prompts (from before the course or a weak one you've used recently) and rebuild it using the full RTFE framework from Module 2 Lesson 3. Run it, compare the before/after output, and share the upgrade to earn points and leaderboard spots.
Why this challenge? RTFE is the foundation of everything in this community. Mastering it early creates massive wins in all future modules/projects. Plus, sharing helps others see real improvements – community gold.
Deliverable (post in Weekly Challenges category by Sunday March 15, 11:59 PM your time):
- Before – Paste your original weak/vague prompt + the output you got (or describe why it sucked).
- After – Paste your full RTFE version of the prompt (Role + Task + Format + Examples).
- Results – Screenshot or copy the new output side-by-side (highlight improvements: better structure, creativity, usefulness, etc.).
- Quick reflection – 2–4 sentences: What part of RTFE made the biggest difference? (Role? Examples? Format?) Any tweaks you'd make next time?
- Bonus for extra points/leaderboard boost: Add Chain of Thought ("Think step by step") or Self-Critique to your RTFE prompt. Run the upgraded prompt on 2 different models (e.g., Claude vs Grok) and share which one crushed it more. Tag a fellow member and ask for their feedback on your upgrade.
Scoring & Rewards:
- Base: 50 points for complete post.
- +25 for before/after screenshots.
- +50 for using advanced techniques (CoT/Self-Critique).
- +100 for top 3 voted/shoutout entries (community vote + my pick).
- Top entries get pinned for the week + featured in next Monday's live Q&A.
How to post: Reply under this pinned thread (or create a new post titled "Week 1 RTFE Upgrade – [Your Name/Handle]") in Weekly Challenges. Include screenshots via upload – make 'em clear!
Kickoff tip: If you don't have an "old" prompt, use one of the simple ones from Module 1 Lesson 2 (e.g., the roast bio or viral ideas prompt) as your baseline.
I'm in the category now – drop your entry whenever you're ready. First posts get early upvotes!
