You know what we haven't been taught? What this statement actually means? Heaven isn’t out there. It's in you! The Lost Gospel of Thomas said it straight: “The Kingdom is inside you and it is outside you. When you come to know yourselves, then you will be known.” The knowledge that Divinity dwells in each and every one of us has been kept hidden from humanity for thousands of years. The Upanishads echoed it: “The Self is the light of all lights, dwelling in the heart.” the Upanishads are part of the Vedas, the sacred scriptures of India that form the foundation of Hindu philosophy. And Lao Tzu nailed it: “Knowing yourself is true wisdom. Mastering yourself is true power.” You are more powerful than you have been led to believe and once you touch the divine essence within you life will never be the same. Different cultures. Same message. Heaven. Power. Love. God. Whatever you call it, it’s not waiting for you at the top of a mountain. It's been sitting dormant inside your chest the whole damn time, waiting for you to remember. The problem is, most of us have disconnected from it, from our true essence. We’ve been so busy doing, fixing, proving, pleasing, and surviving on the gerbil wheel of life that we forgot how to just be. We forgot how to feel from the living, breathing space of love inside of us. That’s what I call The Disconnected Self, when you’re showing up for everyone else but can’t feel your own light any more. You keep holding it all together, but something inside is quietly falling apart. I get it. I’ve been there and that’s why this community exists. Because there’s a path back, a R.E.T.U.R.N. Not to who you were, but to who you really are as a soul. It starts with remembering that self-love isn’t selfish, It doesn't mean you're conceited or narcissistic, like you've been taught and it certainly isn't all fluff. It's the fiercest, most revolutionary act there is. Not bubble baths. Not affirmations that make you cringe inside because they don't align with your inner thoughts. I’m talking about the kind of love that looks at your darkness and says, “I’m not leaving you this time.”
