The Wendell Higgs Music Master Jazz Class – Private Mentorship is a focused one-on-one training experience designed for serious musicians who want to deepen their understanding of jazz improvisation, composition, harmony, and musical expression.
Through private sessions with jazz trombonist and educator Wendell Higgs, students receive direct guidance on developing their personal improvisational voice, understanding chord progressions, and learning how to construct melodic ideas that move naturally through the harmony. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s level and musical goals, allowing for precise development in technique, creativity, and musical awareness.
Students will work on improvisation strategies, ear training, phrasing, rhythm interpretation, and tone development, while also exploring the deeper structural elements of jazz.
