Psoriasis & Neurodiversity: What’s the Connection?
Today on Psoriasis Awareness Day I want to shine a light on something many don’t talk about how skin and brain/neurodiversity are connected.
✅ A brand-new genetic study shows a link between ADHD and autoimmune diseases like psoriasis. (Yes, your skin and your focus, mood & brain wiring may share biology).
✅ Our endocannabinoid system (ECS) is the bridge: it governs inflammation, immunity, mood, skin cell growth... and gets signals from both plant-medicine (cannabinoids) & lifestyle (sleep, stress, movement).
✅ Research on cannabis compounds (like CBD) shows promise in calming the overgrowth of skin cells, reducing inflammation and soothing the itch/pain in psoriasis.
At Weedcraft, we believe in full-spectrum well-being: mind, body, skin.
If you’re dealing with psoriasis (or supporting someone who is) let’s reframe it:
• “What’s my nervous system/immune system asking for?”
• “How is my neuro-profile influencing my skin?”
• “How can plant-support + lifestyle + mindset come together?”
💬 Drop your thoughts below:
Do you see a connection between your skin flare-ups and your brain/mood/stress/neuro-needs?
Would you like me to share more information and tips on how to support your ECS, including skin-safe cannabinoid care?
