Weekly Accountability Meeting 6/8/2026
✨ Theme: Rewriting Your Money Story & Building Self-Trust✨
Your financial future isn't determined by your past money story—it's determined by the story you're willing to write now. We explored how our beliefs around money shape our decisions, how awareness creates transformation, and why consistency will always outperform motivation.
✨ Main Takeaways✨
1. Your Money Story Can Be Rewritten
Many members reflected on beliefs they inherited growing up:
  • "Money is hard to make."
  • "I have to hoard money."
  • "Money is tied to emotions."
  • "I don't have enough to invest."
  • "I need to sacrifice before I can enjoy life."
The conversation challenged us to recognize that these beliefs served a purpose in one season—but may no longer serve the future we're creating. Money is a tool, not an identity.
2. Awareness Is the Foundation of Financial Freedom
You cannot change what you're unwilling to acknowledge.
Before budgets...Before investing...Before debt payoff...
There must be awareness. Knowing where your money goes without judgment creates clarity and gives you the power to make intentional decisions moving forward.
3. Acceptance Creates Momentum
Avoidance feels easier today.
Acceptance creates freedom tomorrow.
Instead of spiraling over the numbers or feeling shame about financial decisions, the invitation is to simply acknowledge where you are and move forward from there.
Acceptance is not approval. Acceptance is ownership. And ownership creates power.
4. Motivation Isn't Enough
Motivation comes and goes. Systems and self-trust last.
Every time you:
  • Track your spending
  • Show up to class
  • Review your budget
  • Ask for help
  • Keep a promise to yourself
you are making a deposit into your self-trust account. Confidence is built through evidence—not emotion.
5. Financial Growth Is Cyclical, Not Linear
Your financial journey will have seasons.
There will be:
  • Seasons of abundance
  • Seasons of rebuilding
  • Seasons of investing
  • Seasons of paying off debt
  • Seasons where life happens
Progress isn't about never struggling again. Progress is becoming better equipped every time challenges arise.
✨Powerful Coaching Concepts✨
The Transformation Triangle
Instead of moving from:
Awareness → Avoidance
we want to practice:
Awareness → Acceptance → Attention
  • Become aware of what's happening.
  • Accept reality without judgment.
  • Pay attention consistently enough to create change.
This simple shift creates lasting transformation.
The Flat Tire Method
When limiting beliefs arise, don't just remove them—replace them.
Instead of:
"I can't manage money."
Try:
"I'm learning how to manage money."
Or:
"I'm open to trying a proven system."
Bridge beliefs create lasting mindset shifts because they feel believable enough for your nervous system to accept.
✨ Wins Shared During the Call✨
👏🏾 Using Money as a Tool
One member shared that although she still struggles with wanting to save every dollar, she's learning that investing in her daughter's summer camp creates peace for both of them.
Money isn't leaving.
It's creating value.
👏🏾 Emotional Spending Awareness
Another member recognized that many purchases were emotionally driven rather than intentional.
The breakthrough wasn't perfection.
It was simply pausing before making decisions and asking:
"Is this a real need or an emotional response?"
That awareness alone is powerful.
👏🏾 Recognizing Growth
Several members reflected on how far they've already come:
  • Better budgeting habits
  • More intentional spending
  • Greater financial awareness
  • Improved communication with money
  • Less shame around finances
Growth isn't always flashy.
Sometimes it's simply noticing you're thinking differently than you did a year ago.
✨Action Items / Homework✨
1. Identify Your Current Money Story
Ask yourself:
  • What beliefs about money did I inherit?
  • Which beliefs still serve me?
  • Which beliefs am I ready to release?
2. Rewrite One Limiting Belief
Complete this exercise:
Old belief:
Bridge belief:
I'm open to...
or
I'm learning...
or
I'm willing to try...
Begin practicing the new narrative daily.
3. Practice Awareness Without Judgment
Spend time observing your financial habits this week.
Notice:
  • Spending patterns
  • Emotional triggers
  • Saving habits
  • Thoughts that arise around money
No shame.
Just awareness.
4. Build Self-Trust
Choose one small commitment you can keep this week.
Examples:
  • Check your budget.
  • Review your transactions.
  • Save a small amount.
  • Avoid one unnecessary purchase.
Every follow-through strengthens your confidence.
5. Prepare for Next Week
Our next lesson will focus on Money & Numbers.
Come prepared with:
  • Financial goals
  • Questions about budgeting or debt
  • Income goals
  • Areas where you need clarity
  • Numbers you're ready to face with confidence
❤️ Quote of the Week
"Your financial journey isn't linear—it's cyclical. Life will happen, but every season equips you with new wisdom. Awareness creates acceptance, acceptance creates action, and action creates transformation."
